Guild Wars 2

So, had quite a bit of fun in the beta.

Played the three classes I've been unable to decide between; Elementalist, Engineer and Mesmer.

Mesmer was fun, but not really my playstyle.
I still can't decide what I prefer, Elementalist or Engineer, although I did grow quite fond of my Engi.

Ele seemed quite versatile with the different atunements, but I didn't really get to play around with it a lot.

I found the Engi skills to be quite limited in the beginning, until I discovered the different kits that you can unlock. Got quite fond of the flamethrower :p
Wonder what kind of skills the utility kit would give.

But I had fun and I look forward to playing at release, but I probably won't play in the remaining betas either, I think I'd just get too tired of the starting areas and events.
I hope there'll be more events at launch, unfortunately I doubt it.

Either way, can't wait for release :)

What i did to test everyone's max abilities is by joining the PVP zones, then you unlock all your skills ;) best way in testing all the skills for level 80's, and see what you like most.

THAT WAS BALLS!!! i couldnt unlock the Norn Shapshift abilities... just wouldnt even let me select them when i could select everything else... i was so keen on Snow leopard and Wolf forms

I spent a short spell in the structured PvP - well, one match. My team won :3

But I got face-rolled so many times it was unreal. Might have been due to my habit of running into a group of 4 enemies and going bosbef** with whatever AoE I had equipped at the time :D

WvW was a pretty awesome experience as well - you get booted up to 80, but you're going to be wearing whatever gear you were wearing and equipped with whatever skills you've unlocked so far when you walk in. So it's not quite as much of a leveler as the structured PvP is - someone who's higher level than you are is still going to walk into a fight with a significant advantage.

But the one map I was in (Jade Sea had control of the central castle) saw a massive 3-way scrap just outside the castle - red, blue and green just banging on whoever was closest to hand. I didn't know who I was supposed to target so I just dropped Meteor Shower on everybody. :)

I didn't have much time to play this weekend, but i played around with all the (available) races and classes. All classes were a lot of fun but although i enjoyed the thief the most since everything about his was totally epic. The PVP was a little bit unbalanced and Jade Sea lost really badly when i throughout the day although last night at around midnight we took back most of the map with a massive army. The quest system was good as well, it took me a while to get used to it. Dynamic events on the other hand is what had me really interested, having 20 people join you suddenly in a event that randomly pops up the in world it simply awesome. I got to a point where we had to kill the "Flame legion shaman", it was hard... took about 20 minutes for a group of around 30-40 people to kill the bastard.

Except for the FPS issue, I only experienced one game breaking bug but at least i could teleport out.

Turns out cities in GW2 can float since everything was water down here...

I really enjoyed my time playing as a Charr Engineer :). Though in pvp I got my ass handed to me :p.

During the entire weekend I only came across one bug, where I got 100% map completion for the Black Citadel but never got the reward.

At first I thought the thief was going to be the class I was gonna go with but knew I had to make a Necro to honour my GW1 character. So this Beta I had the pleasure to explore most of what the Necro had to offer to the groups and running solo (no PvP for me yet :P) and now I think Necro will be my main. Fell in love with the class all over again ^_^
Also can some one please tell me where a dungeon is (I didn't explore Char area will do it in the next beta) but Human has one (or at least an Icon for one but you can't get in...) and finished the Norn but didn't see any Dungeon icon on their side?

All I want now is my little mini Asuran - he is soooo AWESOME!!!!

Would also like to take a look at the Mesmer, really like some of their skills ^_^

I share that sentiment, my ele was based of my GW1 ele, name and all. Definitely going to be my main. I'm not too sure where the dungeons are since I tried to avoid the higher level areas so that I don't spoil them for myself.

As for the Mesmer, it's definitely going to be the class I try out in the next beta, it sure looks like a lot of fun to play. :)

7.5 hours sleep since I woke up friday morning at 7am :) I am now dead
And the bad thing is all that work will be wiped :P
Pwnd :D pfft

I got to test all races and half the professions properly though. I managed to clock a lot of time in battlegrounds as well. My highest level toon was only level 17 but I got to the end of the storyline. Managed to test a lot of crafting, saw every city and start zone. Did amazingly well on my thief and warrior. Getting kill streaks of 10-0 on both of them in battlegrounds with 1000s of glory. Ranger, Ele and Necro surprised me with tanking potential but didn't have the kill power that my thief or warrior had. I think bleeds are incredibly overpowering at the moment and even classed that spec'd double and triple condition removal I could bring down.

My 2 favorite were definitely dd+pp thief(short bow as well) and my riffle+ss warrior
I'm just glad I got to test it all so that I can mess around on builders while there is no beta :)

There where quite a number of dangers that i found running around. They all seemed to be either locked or have a lvl 30 requirement (for vip press i believe?)

I made myself a Charr Ele but i found him to be pretty squishy :/

I also found a probelm between leveling and the personal story i ended up doing norn quests and explorations etc jsut to fill the gap to do the next part of my personal story

I noticed that too. Was level 15, did a level 16 story quest, then it jumped to level 19... but I suppose they can't have a story quest for each of the 80 levels...

Got my Pre-order box today! :D Also lied to myself, was not going to get too involved with the game so tried not to play too much as I would WANT more of the game 60 hours is not enough... Yea I want more. Now.

I find the sentimentalists to squishy as well, got to keep moving or you'll get wasted in 3 seconds flat, I would assume due to the low starter HP and Armour when I jumped into a quick pvp round I had around 9k HP and enough armor to take a few direct shots from a Guardian and a Warrior.

Proper box? Or does it look like the Pre-purchase box (ugly white dvd case)?

Ok. Haven't fetched my pre-purchase box from BTGames yet, but someone else posted a pic and it looked sad :(

I have a bad feeling about this... version I bough... it states and I quote
"IMPORTANT: The serial code on this card is the only serial code you will need to play Guild Wars 2. No additional serial codes or retail boxes will be provided. A game disc is not included.

So I take it I will be downloading the client at launch?

Yeah, was told that too.
Thing is, if you get the pre-order with a disc now, you will have loads and loads of updates to do just to play when the game comes out. I think the dvd will be included copies sold after the release of the game.
