Daggerfall released for free

Bethesda first did it with Arena and now Daggerfall. Although I never got far with Daggerfall, I'll definitely play it again. The dungeons were very atmospheric - although I got totally lost in them and the mapping feature didn't help much ...
You'll need to fiddle with DOS Box to get it going though.

I loved Daggerfall back in the day. I spent hours with it when I should have done school work.

Man that was awesome!
 
I agree there is no game like it since, they haven't been able to re-create the likes of it in Morrowind or Oblivion. I would love to have a remake of the game although it probably will never happen - it was such an ambitious game.
