Diablo III hotfix nerfs monk rune, more balance changes incoming

Was bound to happen sooner or later. Expect plenty more of this, good post launch balancing is going to be key for D3's long term play.
 
Should be interesting to see the difference, I don't use the mantra myself but the other Monk in our group does.
 
Get a better weapon, damage is based off weapon damage, so crappy weapon = crappy damage. Int is just a multiplier on that damage, so you'll almost always get a better increase by getting a better weapon than by adding more int.

You speak to Grimspoon. He's rocking a lvl 30 WD thats is on par with my Barb who does about 300-400 dps.

Yeah that could be it, in the Beta I thought a wizard needed a wand so I clung to my low level wand only to later realise I can equip swords, axes etc.

Spooner has a crossbow for his WD.
 
all i can say is the wizard tanks like a bitch in nightmare and hell, damn! especially with the fact that INT ups your resistance. My DH's dex is at 890 and spells screw me over, the 39% to dodge doesnt help at all ... that champion tower monster guarding one of the hell rifts one shotted me and i had 12k hp

You actually should put some points into your INT in order to boost your resistance, might be worth sacrificing some DEX for it. I plan on doing this once I finish nightmare.
