Diablo III - General Discussion Thread

so ... i find it disappointing that they didnt add the option to add sockets to items :( i would have really like to add some topaz's to my helm for some farming

While I would have loved this feature to have been added I think it would skew the balance even further.

Check this morning it seems I got payed 3 times for some items.
 
I had really bad lag last night. Was playing on an unshaped account like I do most of the time and the game just kept on feeling stuttery the whole time. I would type a chat message to the party and they would respond to it, but I couldn't see my own message in the chat. I would also walk past an area just to have gold appear out of thin air next to me. We had difficulty zoning into the boss fights several times when it kept on saying one of your party members had already started the encounter when all of us were still standing outside.

I only had an hour and a half to play and it was quite annoying for that whole time.

Soloing Hell atm with a 240dps Crossbow, almost at the end of Act 1 just downed the Spider Queen.

For some reason my Damage just dissapeared last night had it on 4.6k went out of the game and back in and it was on 3k got it up to 3.3k again....

Level 53 now or 54 I think
 
Got my wiz to Act 3, Hydra is just awesome, specialy when you cast it in a group of demons. Any one know when plans for the jewel crafter drop? Prices on the AH a bit high.

I am playing hell atm and no plans dropped yet just pages for Jewelcrafting and Tome of Jewelcrafting, maybe it drops in Act 2 I dunno....
 
Not sure what you mean by plans for Jewelcrafting. Only plans I know of belong to the Blacksmith and those only drop in Inferno. (not counting the staff of herding which gets you to the secret level)

hydras aint so nice when diablo shadow clones them :(

Not sure what you mean by plans for Jewelcrafting. Only plans I know of belong to the Blacksmith and those only drop in Inferno. (not counting the staff of herding which gets you to the secret level)

the flawless, perfect and raidiant star jewels require JC designs
 
Bought Diablo on Sunday. Started playing Monday afternoon (took a day off so I can sort out Home Affairs' muck up) and I am extremely addicted. Wasn't a fan of D2 so much but Gdamn!

At least the girlfriend not bothering me when playing (got her Streetfighter X Tekken so she's a happy camper).

So tired right now :o

Ok well then that's definitely Inferno only. I don't even want to know how much those will cost to make, considering the material cost you would need 243 perfect squares to make a radiant star which each cost 30 000 to make so it would cost you 7.3M just to make all the perfect squares then you would need 81 radiant squares which would cost you 81x40000=3.2M and that's just the first 2 levels.

So yeah, much scarrynesssss.

Just keep it till the 2de patch comes in.
 
2de? ... 2nd maybe?

If you are talking about the reduction to 2 gems per upgrade that is only up to Flawless square iirc, from there it's still going to be 3.

Just finished Act I on Nightmare together with Grimspoon. Definitely easier going with the Wizard than the Barb. Still died a few times but at least this time is wasn't from normal mobs.

Mmm, I have a geared level 60 Wizard and a level 36 Barb who just finished Act I Nightmare last night and it was so easy and so much fun (specially after all the kiting in inferno with my Wiz). I cant say atm I think my Wiz was easier or faster.

Let me put it this way: Last night I started playing after 7, on level 28 at the start of Act IV normal. Ended at 11 on level 36 & the start of Act 2, Nightmare.
The previous night I started at the same time, level 20 and thus ended level 28 at the start of Act IV

That's pretty decent going imo. You just need a nice weapon (I sword and board) and the right abilities and its pretty much steamroll for Normal and Nightmare. Thou I'm very sure it will change from Hell on :)
