Haai Wyv!! :)

WHOOP WHOOP Just got my message from Telscum and a call from home to say that the underground line as well as my DSL should be fixed now YAY!!!! :D

Morning Dohc, Grims, Murph, Syco, Czc, Omega

/hands Murph a beer

Where is my beer? :(

/hugs wyv

Dude I swear it was the weirdest fscking thing!! We set up a static IP on the sexbox, and tested the connection but the minute it got to trying to connect to XBL then the network connection would DC, I teamviewed onto Murph's PC and while he tested the Xbox connection I was pinging it's IP address and I got a response and we found where it dropped. The reason is why and you can't force the xbox to keep a live connection running... :wtf:

Thats weird. Surely it should need a static IP. Does it connect to Live and then drop straight away or randomly? I assume Xbox Live has been updated?

lol, sounds like me. My xbox would be lying in a pile of bits on the floor :p

Wonder why you have so much kak bro?

Almost dude almost... I dunno I have a tech curse or something. It's fine if I know what the problem is, but shit man Syco was on my PC for nearly an hour and something still ain't right. That's when I want to start blikseming things.

It dropped the connection to the network the minute it tried to connect to XBL, other than that it was passing all the connection tests, which imo it's the xbox assuming that the connection is there and dropping it immediately.

looooooooooooooooooooool yeh thats why the PS3 works hundreds!! :D

Hmmm where have I seen this before. Think I may have had a similar issue long ago when I first got my Xbox.

Port forwarding?

If your network is open why would you need to set up portforwarding?? and would you mind checking your router settings tonight, it's better to compare apples with apples since PS3 isn't running a microsoft based platform?? :)

i used to forward ports on my old mega 105 router in order for the 360 to connect. maybe his router has a firewall enabled.
