Did you set a static up for your downstairs PC?? Because if I'm not mistaken we disabled the DHCP setting on your router when we gave the sexbox a static IP again??

I'm not sure it's the cable - how has my PS3 inexplicably been working through all this shit? I was on google last night with the PS3 browser checking some stuff out. I'll check the router later dude, my patience was finished at that point.

Dude I swear it was the weirdest fscking thing!! We set up a static IP on the sexbox, and tested the connection but the minute it got to trying to connect to XBL then the network connection would DC, I teamviewed onto Murph's PC and while he tested the Xbox connection I was pinging it's IP address and I got a response and we found where it dropped. The reason is why and you can't force the xbox to keep a live connection running... :wtf:
