Personally I have no issue with it. After witcher2 comment I'd thought a poll would be quick way of getting a census of what you guys think of it :)
 
No issue with it as long as it adds to the game. Having it in simply to show tits and ass is a waste.

I have no problem with it. With female that is.
It is ok if there is male nudity in the game, as long as I can play around it. Like in the case of Mass Effect 3, I knew there was the possibility for some kind of scene with the guy in the basement and I could simply avoid it, simply by... not turning my back on him... and probably by choosing the correct dialogue options :)
So for female, ok with it... for male, I'm only ok if the game don't force me to play through it.

Society has this sort of bizarre complacent indifference when it comes to violent media. But show some boobs on TV? OH NOES! PR0NZ! WE MUST PROTEK TEH CHILDRENZ!

Apart from my firm belief that that only does more damage than good, it's also purely ridiculous that as adults, our media has to be censored and railed in because certain fundamentalist conservative organisations feel like saying what other people may or may not engage in.

From a normal gamer's perspective I'd agree: sex and nudity should be tastefully integrated into a game and not just "for the hell of it." However, I also believe that if people want to buy a game just because it has nudity (and bugger-all else) then they should be welcome to.

I'm simply chilled with sex in general on a game, but I think a user should be given a choice prior to starting a game with what they want, almost like a parental control setting except allowing a person to choose their genre of sexual relations. Especially since I had an argument roughly about a year ago with the gay members on here regarding a homosexual encounters on Mass Effect.

Personally I think it should be given as an option before hand, that way making it a win win situation for everyone. :)
 
As I said in the Witcher thread, I dont mind sex/nudity in games but I only see naked women... It's very one-sided. Why can't we see naked guys too?
 
As with everything context is key, having sex in just because it is bound to sell a few copies to the horny teen boys that dont yet know how to find free porn online is stupid. However like in ME and The Witcher 2 (Not 1, the sex in Witcher 1 was juvinile and degrading to women) it can add alot to the plot and the emotional connection with a character.

However I prefer Tits and Ass only, showing pubic area far too often hits the Uncanny valley and its more unnerving that sexy/erotic or anything. Witcher 2 tried to get past this by give all the women a nice bush, I still found it unnerving but I think that more due to personal preference than anything else.

As for your "complaint" I think its key to remember that while we are seeing an ever increase in girl gamers the dominant demographic for Games are still young males. By including male genitalia (which again will fall smack into the uncanny valley) is alot more likely to put the majority (men) off than the lack of it will put the minority (women) off, like a lot of other things its a numbers game. Maybe one day we will see male and female genitalia on show in equal quantities, but that day is not today. And personally I would prefer it if the genitalia was left out of the mix, I have an imagination, a wife and a good internet connection, if I wanted to see that sort of stuff I can used any of those or a combination there of.

Secondly - I think no one could have said it better, you're right the viewing of genitalia in a game can be very uncomfortable for both people. I for one wouldn't wanna see guy on guy action during a game with dicks swinging in all directions, I think I would throw up quicker than drinking a bottle of Jack Daniels whiskey. :p

But you're right that's what a partner is there for as well as the interwebz full of the pronz. :p

I wouldn't mind the guy on guy but without any actual genitalia please, especially if its not optional like in Mass Effect. I think that why I enjoyed the Mass Effect PG-13 Sex scenes more than say... the God of War 3 Aphrodite sex... thing. Even though in GoW 3 there where alot more tits on show.

I don't mind sex, but I think it should be an optional thing that you would want to pursue in game and I don't want to watch a porn video when I am playing a game.
But I think it all has its place as well, I also don't expect a game set in medieval times to have women all covered up in say 19th century clothing, the clothing was a little more promiscuous which like sex sets a scene. Just don't go overboard I reckon

I agree there. That should apply to most movies as well - alluding to something instead of having a full on slamdunk, pillow biting bonkfest usually brings the point across perfectly well.

I do not like to see genitalia either, but when it is shown we see only female, and in the case of The Witcher 2, we don't even see Geralt's bum, his pants isnt even unbuttoned. Whereas the women we see everything. I ask for equality.

Well if you're playing Skryim on PC you can easily force equal nudity by using this and this.

NSFW, obviously.
