If I know superhero movies, then I have an idea that they are going to milk this one. More movies, more action figures, more T-Shirts at Edgars. Even though it just barely broke even.

The lost a lot of money on Green Lantern, number 2 was planned but then they scrapped it and went back to the drawing board type of thing.

No, I'm just tired of this 'acceptable' discrimination against homosexuals. If you said the same thing about blacks or Jews, people would be baying for your blood.

I also think a lot of these 'not my preference' arguments are based on ignorance and/or bigotry. There is no reason for something natural like that to offend you.

Most don't see it as natural.....,there is allot of this so called 'discrimination' on the internet about various thing,not just homosexuality.Personally i'm tired of/that every time a thread or post is made about homosexuality some guy blows a gasket thinking everyone in the thread is insulting/discriminating against his sexuality.

If someone insults my beliefs,nationality,skin colour,etc i just ignore it.

Hopefully they can conjure up something good. GL has a rich history and some awesome lore, like the whole Blackest Night story line. Perhaps they are pouring their resources into the Superman reboot with Nolan and Snyder.

If you want people to respect your views, respect their views. People have just as much right to voice their opinions as you do, even if their opinion is stupid.
 
Go have a look at some studies. There are many animal species that also participate in homosexuality. Homosexuality is an inborn trait, not something one chooses. You don't get more natural than that. If you think it's unnatural, you're an ignorant moron.

I reiterate, why is it okay to discriminate against homosexuality, but not race or ethnicity?

If people want to hold bigoted opinions, that's fine, as long as they do just that. Hold them to yourself.

No I am saying that what is 'natural' is irrelevant when you're talking about Human beings. Wearing clothes, living in a house, getting married, driving cars, en-vitro fertilization, organ transplants, etc... are all unnatural. So using what's natural on either side of any argument about people is pointless.
 
I find it amusing how you prefer to think of it as a kind of genetic quirk or mutation (i.e natural) rather than a rational choice made by an individual. Most of the homosexual people I know consider it a choice rather than some pre-determined genetic, or natural, effect.
 
Oh really? Because most homosexuals consider it to be something you're born into, and not a choice you made.

Tell me, at which age did you sit down and decide to be heterosexual? At which age did you decide you're more attracted to people with blond/brunette/red hair? Or blue eyes?

I certainly never made a choice to be homosexual.
