Thanks Omega. It was actually the page refresh that got me this time. The internet and computers sure are hard.

Stick with it, one day you will be awesome.... like Me.

A big issue for me is the longevity of the local game servers, and to what degree the expansions will be supported on them. The vast majority of the local servers do not even support B2K, let alone four more expansions. I haven't played any of the battlefield franchises before and I don't know what the local support of the servers is like. Historically, is the server support good for years after the game? For example, are there still a lot of BF:BC2 servers? Do those servers have all the DLC?

EDIT: I am referring to PC servers, not console servers.

Are there even local servers at all?
I normally play on European servers...but I will admit this is on xbox so I can't speak for PC.

Ja, to be more specific, the servers for PC only. I'm not sure that there are local console servers at all.

I want to change my vote, voted on this without knowing that everything in premium would be cheaper then if i buy em separately and what is included in premium.

Dang i want to change my vote to Yes.

Premium is much better than I thought. I thought it was a subscription, and I just thought f**k no, I'll never get this. Then I saw what's all included and for R400, it's such a bargain.

I bought BF premium on the xbox yesterday. It's 4000 MSP, which works out to around R400. As To0ken says, it's not a subscription, it's once off, and it saves you money if you're planning on buying all the map packs, and it gives you some extra goodies. Much cooler than I had though. Even without the extra bells and whistles, it'll save you 800 MSP if you don't already have Karkand, and 2000 MSP if you don't have it yet. I got Karkand free with my LE pre-order anyway, so it doesn't bother me that I'm not scoring on that. All the extra stuff is just a bonus really

Yeah, and just remember, there's lots of other goodies included as well. Not just extra maps and weapons, but all kinds of extras. Soldier upgrades etc, and those bonus content drops, 2 of them to be exact, as well. I don't even know what those extra content drops are but it's quite exciting :D

Ya, the soldier upgrages are like new camo's and dogtags and stuff, and the extra assignments are just to unlock more dogtags, so that's not super exciting, but cooler is getting the DLC early, and they give you videos and strategy guides as well.

The first video is out already, I'm busy downloading it because I don't have the speed to stream it straight.

More EDIT: Just watched that video for Close Quarters, and damn it looks cool. I'm getting really excited about that

Matt, the new assignments are for new weapons! 20 new weapons to come still, excluding the ones from Close Quarters. The dotags and stuff come with the soldier upgrades.

There is going to be a shiteload of weapons eventually. So cool man, love it.

Really? I was looking at the Premium Assignments on Battlelog and it just shows the rewards as dogtags, The assignments and tags are called LIFE SAVER, BULLET PROVIDER, LOCATION SCOUT, WRENCH WIELDER, and JACK OF ALL TRADES. Then it shows the Close Quarters Assignments where the rewards are guns. Maybe it's different on the PC version?

I just wish they had come out with this sooner before we all got Back to Karkand, or offered a discount at least for those without the B2K.

Yeh dude, there's 20 new weapons coming! Those assignments will probably only be available closer to the release time of the expansions. Oh ok, I see what you're saying. Looks like there's extra assignments for other stuff too, like those dogtags and stuff you mentioned. Sorry, thought the assignments were for weapons only :D

Ya, that's a bit of a bugger, but I'm not too bothered personally. Like I was saying, I got B2K free because I pre-ordered, but you still save money on the other map packs.

Oooh, ok cool. Ag I still haven't even used half my guns, but more is always cool.

I must say, when talk started about this premium thing I thought it would be a waste, but it's actually very cool.

Have you seen that video yet? Damn it looks good

Yeh dude, watched that video last night. Very, very cool. I must say, I'm actually changing my mind a bit again about the DICE devs. They've been through some tough k@k since the launch of BF3, but they're at least putting a big effort into the longevity of the game and I must admit, the upcoming content looks really worthwhile, not to mention EPIC! I still think R400 is a really good price, and the game was so cheap to begin with. Not bad at all.

WP Dice.

It does look epic, and the new game modes look interesting as well. The Gun Master thing might be fun. I'll probably have to change from my normal engineer to another class for Close Quarters, then back again for Armored Kill. And a new map with a new spin on things every 3rd month is definitely going to keep things fresh

Gun Master = Gun game from the old css days. Gunna be epic.

I hate these things when a game is selling well and then they release new maps for sale. Games aren't exactly cheap and now I need another R200 for a DLC of 4 maps. Piss off, gaming is heading into a capitalistic screw the consumer industry.
