Rage planned to be a series

I wouldn't say Rage sucked on principle but rather it had too many problems both technically and otherwise and then on top of that it felt like half a game considering they just ended it in the middle of nowhere hoping you would jump out of your seat and shout "I want Rage 2".

Saying all that IF they got their act together and sorted out Rage's problems it does have potential, however, I'm not all together certain id has the ability to make good on that potential.

RAGE has a brilliant setting and interesting concept that was let down by pretty much everything else about the game. While visually "pretty" the static nature of the visuals came as a huge disappointment to me. Gunplay felt hollow and boring, the story & characters mostly forgettable and just over all it lacked any kind of prolonged hook. I can normally muscle my way through pretty much any game but I felt my self grow increasingly bored with RAGE to the point that I just shelved it.

Rage would have beeen big, if they bothered to add Quake 3 like multiplayer, but no, remote cars shooting each other.....
zzzzzz

No, the MP was probably the most intresting aspect of the game. It was nice to see a developer break from the bog standard "stereotypical" FPS MP.
