MyGaming suggestion box

A grammar checker would help some people! Not the kak Office sentence checker, but one that will see mistakes like "I are to be liking mass effect like jiss ou!".

That's not something we can implement on the forum side. Spellcheck should be standard in most browsers these days?

James, mine was just a joke in any case, I hate grammar checkers. More to idiot proof the users who type a complete paragraphs without any punctuation.

if u know what i mean becos this get s me when i hav 2 try to figure out a post typd lyk this.

How much time does it actually save to type "u" instead of "you".
Or "2" instead of "to". I've never understood that.

Exactly, it takes longer to type and longer to figure out what was typed. I tl;dr most of those posters' posts 99% of the time.

i have a suggestion for the Competitions...

Raise the lifetime post limit... looks to me like a lot of spammers are lurking around and 20 posts is a bit easy and quick to get to...

Im going to refer that HERE, Mostly because we've discussed this many times. 20 post is is a good balance, plus its fun hunting the trolls/spammer ;)

I have a suggestion... People should remember their ability to give / remove reputation from other users. I can surely do with some rep :)

I LOLZ!!!!

Hmm the 20 post issue, I suppose you could make it so only people who had 20 posts when the competition was made should be allowed to enter. That would stop people seeing an interesting compo and then spamming to 20 posts just to enter, might force them to actually participate in the community before entering.

Yeah but that would also negate any positive effect the comps are meant to have, which is to draw in more people as more people means more exposure for whoever is sponsoring the comp which in turn means more great comps. So its more a case of deal with the few retards that spam or give up the awesome comps. The only person(s) who would not be affected should this happen would be me & MissM since we are both outside of the UK and thus can not enter the comps.

Yeah, I receive rep quite slowly nowadays, when in the anonymity days people were very adamant about giving out neg-rep for every single thing. Was hilarious when it originally uncovered who gave rep when and where and I could see who the idiots were that gave me neg-rep for ridiculous or troll-like reasons.

Also, is there a possibility you can implement a feature which lets us look at our entire rep history? I'm especially curious to look back on all the rep I've handed out over the time I've been here.

I was actually quite surprised that the anonymity days ended as I would have expected a lot of revenge targeting to start happening. In fact a part of me wanted to go on a revenge spree when I found out some of the reasons/people who neg repped me.
//Fucking bastards lol :)

There is a rep given history under the CP that goes back to January. In my CP at least.

There will always be those who try and bend the rules for competitions and the first thought is to implement rules to try and prevent that happening. However, too many rules can be to the detriment of bringing in new members that actually want to be part of the community - over the years a number of regulars have found their way here because of the competitions.

There will always be rule-benders and competition trolls, and extensive rule conditions for entry won't stop them - they just ignore the rules anyway because they think they can somehow outwit the admin team.

Good news is that we have been doing this for a long time and we are pretty wise to their tricks and can spot them easily.

Besides, without competition trolls to hunt, OmegaFenix would go nuts with boredom!
