The Most Destructive Games of all time

Many of us; raggers or not, are familiar with “that” game that drove us over the edge and condemned us to fall victim to its reign of destruction. I am curious to know which games are to blame and why?

Is it just me or does this post not make ANY sense. I get the feeling its trying to find out which games make us break stuff.... but I cant be sure.

Well for me it was Midnight Club 2.

I still hate smart cars .

Cost me 2 x keyobards a mouse and a Crt

A little known Plassie fact about midnight club 2 and it's netcode / gamecode. We used to LAN the living crap out of this game for ages.
My one mate used to always do very badly almost always finishing last in every race with Bikes or Cars. Then we noticed something strange. See he had a very crappy pc and struggled to keep the game running smooth, and believe it or not this actually IN MULTIPLAYER caused his cars to be slower as well. We tested it time and time again, using EVERY CAR AND BIKE AVAILABLE. Dead stop and accelerate simultaniously, my car would be on 200KPH and his car would not even be on 120kph at exactly the same time. We reverse tested it by ripping ram out of my machine, installing an inferior card and pumping the res and details up.

And the exact same thing happened. With my machine lagging, my cars were slower. Weird, but true.

Lol, ok , seems like I need to explain a bit more, yes, which games have caused you to break something due to frustration?

for me, at the moment, The binding of Isaac, but I still can't stop playing it >_<

No game has ever made me so angry that I felt the need to break anything, be it an expensive controller or a cheap mouse. When I get killed by the final boss of Demon's Souls (NG+++) for the 3rd time and loose (permanently) 2 or 3 levels which would cost me about 2 mill souls to get back and I feel that rage boiling up inside me I simply quit the game and play something else.

Its just a game after all.

I broke a mouse once, can't remember what game it was, felt like a pretty large jackass afterwards.

I had a friend back in the NES days who threw his entire console. Afterwards it was fucked and we had to play outside, I think that was the day I vowed to never let myself get so angry at a game that I break the device I use to entertain myself.

Lol ok that is pretty extreme. :) Mine was just a crappy MS explorer mouse of which I had 3 in the house.

I broke a game cover once. Ok, twice. Never a peripheral. Those things are fcking expensive. You may as well chuck R600 at the wall.

I remember a friend of mine playing dota the one time I was at his house. This was many years ago. He all of a sudden just got up, unplugged his keyboard and went outside and smashed the living shit out of it against the wall. Apparently one of the keys got stuck, for the 100th time, and for damn sure on the wrong day. :P

I remember being at a lan, everything was fairly quiet and then next thing we just hear this CRASH, it sounded like someone had thrown a brick through a huge ass window or something. So we turn around and just this dude had smashed his keyboard over his monitor and then thing had broken in half with the keys just flying everywhere. No idea if his screen broke, sure as hell wasn't going near that situation. :)

There have been a few games like that for me, but namely games with time trials that only give a total of 5secs for error :o.

I do remember ranting about the fight between Geralt and the King Slayer in The Witcher 2.

I can get quite aggressive towards inanimate objects such as controllers, headphones, mice, etc.

I'm not sure exactly how many things I've broken in my gaming life, but what I can remember right now are these:

Broke about 3 to 4 cheap (Genius) optical mice while playing Diablo II back in the day.
Smashed my (expensive) headphones against the wall while playing NFS Most Wanted (it was the closest thing I could find to throw).
Threw a Dual Shock 3 against the wall (and chipped the plastic around the analogue sticks) while playing Brink.
Broke two more DS3 controllers playing Demon's and Dark Souls (I don't take losing a shitload of souls very lightly :p).
My PC has also suffered a lot of physical abuse over the years, if it doesn't do what I want it to do I kick it. Hard. So hard that I once had to phone my IT technician friend to come check it out since it was making strange beeping sounds when I turned it back on after kicking it off. :p

Before I forget, I also smashed my old Ipod against my desk so hard that it had a permanent new dent at the back. I accidentally dropped it in the street once while walking to class and ever since then it didn't always work right; you had to tap it at the back a couple of times before it worked sometimes. This particular day it didn't want to respond at all no matter how many times I tapped it and my assignments were saved on it (and nowhere else) so I kind of lost it.
