The Amazing Spider-man (MyGaming review)

Sigh. They should really stop making games based purely on the release of a film... If something brand new comes out and it has an intricate and rich world portrayed in the film, expand it with a game. Not just Spiderman movie = Spiderman game.
 
In my view, Spider-man is a bland, uninspired, repetitive arcade adventure game that simply fails to entertain on any level that will resonate with anyone above the age of 13.

Have to agree, my 6yo nephew loves the games.... He's finished the previous one about a hundred times.

That tells you something.
 
I don't know I loved it. For once I definitely don't agree with Mygaming's review score. Might be because I'm a Spidey fan and I don't try to look for faults I just try to have fun and the game definitely gave me that.

Each to his own of course. The only thing that really matters is if you enjoy it or not.

Nic's review certainly isn't the last word on the game, just one man's opinion :) Discerning gamers will probably read a number of reviews from different sites before making their purchase decision.
 
I'm sorry if it seemed like I implied that Nic's review is wrong and I am right. That was not my intention. People should try to read as much different reviews as possible to get a general idea of a game, but ultimately the only way you are going to know if you enjoy the game or not is to buy/rent it and play it yourself. E.g. If I had listened to reviewers and never bought Splatterhouse, I would have never known that I actually love playing the game, despite all it's flaws.

But yes, to each his own.
 
I am on the fence on this. The game was fun as heck, but there were some polishing issues, especially with the repetitive mini-games. Don't even get me started on how annoying that guy giving the challenges are. :P
