Another update out. I'm on 25MB and only downloaded 5 files (1855 total).
Will update this post when I get the complete filesize.

Btw which world should I join this weekend?

The update looks to be just under 100MB. Also everyone seems to be going with Lakeside County as the SA server of choice.

100MB? Nope :p
I'm on 135MB now (and I last updated 2 days ago)
Sitting on 73%.

Lakeside County? okies.

Final size: 160MB.

I have heard (somewhere on reddit iirc) that the size of the client depends on when you started downloading the client. Guys from BWE1/2/3 will have different file sizes. I don't think its much to fret about, so long as your updater says 100% you should be fine.

I also read that ArenaNet fixed the issues some people were having with the client.

I have only found the wonders of reddit out recently. Its really one of the most informative sites I have ever visited.

It could very well be. If it is the case, then GW2 doesn't delete scrap files (any files that are not used any more), it just rewrites them if necessary. I will redownload the entire game sometime anyways so as to have a proper 100% file. I noticed it worked well for me for GW1.
 
Lakeside it is! :D see you all there Friday 8ish (I finish work at 6)

A portion of the Official guilds have listed what servers they will be on, that does not mean LC will be empty, it could just well get full by launch as people are looking for a "empty" server to play pve.
 
Another small update around 50mb nothing hectic... Anyways today is the big day should be a fun weekend aslong as nothing goes wrong. *crosses fingers*

World Transfer

World transfer will be free and unlimited from Noon July 20 to 6:00 PM Pacific on July 21. After this period, you’ll need to spend gems for a transfer. Transfers will still be unlimited. The gem costs for a world transfer after 6:00 PM Pacific on July 21:

1800 gems to transfer to a high population world

1000 gems to transfer to a medium population world

OH YES :D Guild wars for a few hours then getting stoopid at a matric dance after party at midnight :D then playing again while hanging on saturday!! this weekend is going to be wicked!!1!
