To not spoil it,Gantz starts out with 2 teenagers dying when a train hits them because they were trying to get a hobo off the train track (they started running afterwards because they thought the train would stop at this station)After that they get tranported to a room with a black sphere and allot of other people who also died.The Black sphere tells them to put on a blank suit and take the weird weapons in the sphere (which most of them refuse because they don't believe whats happening)

Later on they start getting attacked by aliens and such and turns really awesome and gore.

Yup ... Gantz almost completely puts titles like Elfen Lied in the shade when it comes to gore. It was a good watch, although I can't say I liked the main protagonist very much.
 
Another Gantz fan here. The anime is pretty good, until the 2nd half of the 2nd season. The reason is that they wrote the last 'game' specifically for the anime, as the manga just kept on going, so they had to make their own ending. That manga is far superior, by far.

My word - it's hard :eek: I've got about 8 or 9 of the series starting this season that I'm busy watching at the moment - I've never tried managing that many in one go. But it's nice being able to stay up to speed with what people are actually talking about for once :D

Staying up to speed can be really hard :) especially with new series constantly coming out and also trying to catch up on the series like bleach, one piece and naruto... personally i try to stick with the shorter series

Yea... That kid, he liked his MILF's...
New shows look promising, so far Sword Art Online, Binbougami ga! and Muv-Luv Alternative are turning out very promising. Rest I will get to use as trade fodder :D

Durrr... Disliked that show for some reason, they cut it short, manga was better in many ways. Only + was the OP song.

I am busy on Mirai Nikki (Lit. Future Diary), it's cool I guess got to get used the ammount of deaths and psycho characters, I came from watching a more light hearted show called "Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai" (short -Ano Hana Lit. That Flower).

I avoid Bleach, Naruto and One Piece like the plague.

Also, anime isn't constantly being released - they work in seasonal cycles, with most of the releases taking place in January, April, July and October. Anything outside of those are usually movies and OVAs - so I generally make a list of those series that I'm interested in when the releases are announced. Makes it easier to keep track.

Seriously no one watches it,i almost had a heartattack when i saw on youtube that there was actually a my little pony convention where a grown man bought a hair thing with pony ears on.Don't get me started on the one that sang one of the songs in the show.

Haha!! Thank goodness I'm up to date with all 980 chapters. Wouldn't want to try and start reading from scratch again. Tho to be fair it would totally be worth it still. :)

It is better than the starting chapters but it doesn't lose the overall feel/look of the characters. The fights are pretty well done too. Tho these days it's getting a bit too Dragon Ball Z for me (i.e. the fights drag on over waaay too many chapters).

But it's well worth the read. Probably the best sports manga out there......... Damn, now I want to start reading it from scratch again...... :eek:

HAHAHA I recall that was made into a anime, so want to watch it! :D

Currently Watching "A World Only God Knows" as well as reading Naruto's manga again, because shows are dragging out like a soap opera.
