guys, excuse my ignorance but do they have a local server? Reason for asking is I'm on 3G so intl gaming suucks, local is ok. Would love to get back into Tribes.

Unfortunately not,i play on Europa - Amsterdam and i get around a 190ping.Assault rifles and such are useless as well as some hitscan weapons.i only use explosive weapons like the spinfuser and thumper.
 
This game looks Awesome, but I will have to wait for my ADSL line becuase playing online with 3G really sucks:(
 
nope,i gave up on the game since it's pay to win (1 week of play to unlock a gun or pocket change to unlock a few guns)
 

I miss tribes, seing katabatic makes me wanna cry....think I'm going to install T2 and just lay waste to some bots.... :( I cant begin to describe how much I miss the old T2 community and the endless nights of COMPLETE and UTTERLY decimating flag cappers and attackers, LEAVE MY GENNIE ALONE! They keep the base nice and warm....oh and they also charge my HUGE ASS EFFIN FUSION MORTAR TURRETS!!!

errr, where's my T2 disc

ps. this whole upgrade and weapon purchase thing smells kinda foul to me....I'd rather it be like BF3 or CoD, buy the game for full retail price (with dedicated servers) and upgrade as you get experience points.

Mine is RavenRob.

I did buy the $10 starter pack, but that was all. I find play competitive and the game is really well balanced. You can see those who paid for everything and have no experience. They die like the rest. :-D

And my ping is not bad at all. At least, I don't notice any skipping. :-)
