Gaming vs. Audiophile headphones overview

Audiophile for me all the way... When it comes to sound, they crossover to gaming perfectly, but in terms of music, they are awesome:)

Essentially too much money, but I suppose they can possibly last a lifetime if taken care of.

It all comes down to what you want to get out of sound really. Crisp high ends, or low bass? Or do you prefer a nice medium of the two with clean mids? I can vouch for the Sennheiser mark of quality, but honestly never tried the others before.
