Thread of PC Woes, Troubles, Problems, and Issues

How many fans do you have in your pc?
What was your previous GPU?

Have you tried unplugging a lot of non critical components like extra hhd/fans and so forth? and then switching it on.

Also have you checked for dust. The computers here often have a lot of dust, when I take the computers for cleaning and don't make sure all the dust is cleared the computers turn on but nothing happens. Check that.
but get a new case as a 6870 isn't that fun without a dvd drive, or go cheaper but not solve that lil problem and buy an external dvd drive.

hi Guys, I am new here,
I am looking to start designing websites and I need to know if there are website creation sites that I would be able to use where the website address would be custom done. I don't want to use sites such as google sites where it is a long address but something more like if I were doing it for a blue shoe it could www.blueshoes.com?
Anybody know if this is possible?

Hey all!

I have a thermaltake eSports black gaming mouse. Had it for a year or so. Ever since I got the thing, the cursor won't move from startup. I have to unplug and plug it back in. Then it works. Everything on my pc is updated, driver wise. Thing is, when i right click, it works. But no cursor movement. I have sent it back to the ditro and they say it works fine. When I restart the pc only, its fine. But shutdown for a couple of hours....no go. Any freaking clue as to whats up???? Im at my wits end here. Played with startup services and the like....nudda.

Let's see here... thermaltake esports... I'm googling it. I'll come back to you if I find anything.

*EDIT*

So here's what I found, there's a couple of different things you can download for this mouse:
Drivers, EDM, Software and manual.

Try this: http://usa.ttesports.com/products/product.aspx?g=download&s=2&ss=3
Or this: http://usa.ttesports.com/products/product.aspx?g=download&s=2&ss=1

And here's a forum from Thermaltake with someone who's also suffering from problems:
http://forum.thermaltake.com/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=8800

And I found more with the same issue:
http://forum.thermaltake.com/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=8895
http://forum.thermaltake.com/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=6919
http://forum.thermaltake.com/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=8852
http://forum.thermaltake.com/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=8505

I hope somehow this helps. It looks like there's a person called ShannonR on the Thermaltake forum, she might be able to replace it for you. I'll recommend you work directly with her though. Seems like this mouse is known for it's issues.

Why not just practise and Run it on your local machine?

What are you gonna use to learn ? I suppose Dreamweaver? Then just use Chrome and run the Simulated page on your local machine and that's it?

I think he's more talking about custom domains. And if he can do a custom domain online for free. It's not making much sense but that's what I gather from it. And then also creating a website using online tools. Maybe to dodge the whole HTML / CSS coding side?

lol, im one of those guys on that forum link you pasted. Nothing came from it. Had to send it in to the store which I bought it from here. Which in turn "tested" it. Said nothing is wrong. Um, yeah, right. Doesn't work from startup on 4 systems I have tested it on. But what they say is, they can't find a fault, therefore can't replace it.

I have installed all those drivers as well. sigh. What a waste of cash.

Thanks for the reply and research mate. Respect!

@Inn3rs3lf. in the future when you want a mouse come ask the guys at mygaming. It's always a good idea to do some decent research before buying something. In all honesty I'm not a real fan of Thermaltake.

@Inn3rs3lf: Hold on, wait. Do something for me here.....
Control Panel > Power Options. Choose High Performance. Click the 'Change plan settings link. Make sure everything is set to Never. Click the 'Change advanced power settings link. In Power Options scroll down until you see USB settings. Expand both nodes. Change both settings to 'Disabled' and click OK > Save Settings.

Sometimes USB devices have issues waking up from a sleep state. This usually fixes stuff like that...

had a problem the other day with my nvidia gt card overheating, turns out the vents are too thin so they block up really easily.

here is my problem, had a time ( last week ) when my network card was not picking up, i did everything from drive updates, checking lan cables etc untill i found a solution that i must remove the cmos battery, which pretty much reset my whole motherboard. The network card came alive, but than one of my ram slots stopped working. Its dual channel and at post it shows single channel. I took out the rams cards, made sure i had no static on me, by touching the psu first and used the anti static strap. So i took the ram and placed on a friends pc, both work perfectly, so its probably the slot. NOw what could have caused this all of a sudden?

What Board is it? How old is It? is the network still working at the moment and can you get the network port to go dead again?

Oh.. This is where you're supposed to post PC related queries and problems... :p

I need to learn to read. Lol.

How can I run load a disc if I've copied all data from disc onto the HDD. I want to install a game, but have no Autorun on the 2nd disc, so I can't complete installation.

Copying games sort of always does this.

You need to use img burn and create images of the disks :D

My DVD drive is older than Noah's Arc and only reads what it feels like reading. I'm having to use my mom's laptop to copy these files over to the external. Don't wanna take advantage and install CDBurner XP on her laptop, y'know...

Don't you have R180 somewhere and get a new dvd drive?
Or download a image of the game you have and just install it with that cd. You get non cracked ISO files where you can use your cd key to complete it. Or make your own Autorun File?
http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-make-an-Autoruninf-File/

I have a few where the cd are ancient like Baldur's Gate 2.

Before I get to testing this method...
I just... On a side note...

Received 2 lithium batteries (for my mobo). I'm hoping this resolves my CMOS error issue.
