That's what happens when you outsource your boss fights to another studio who obviously had no idea what the game was about.It is rather unbelievable how badly they missed the mark if you really think about it. The bosses are the clogging point, if you reworked them to allow multiple approaches or allowed the player to simply avoid them like in the original the rest of the game is fine.
Good thing the boss fights are only like 1% of the game.
