So pretty much what I expected...Its gonna be a damn strong card, but Nvidia seems to have forgotten about the budget gamers. Starting at $299...

NVIDIA’s upcoming midrange Kepler GK104-based GPU, the GeForce GTX 660 Ti, is due for release on 16 August and an almost complete list of both reference and factory overclocked models along with pricing has been leaked.

Still a dog ugly card lol xD

The aesthetic appeal of whatever hardware I choose to have grace my desktop is generally of no consequence-even if whatever happens to be housing it is made of transparent plastic - or the chassis is shocking pink with a glitter and sequin finish.

:p

A more important consideration is this: can it render the new Crytek tech demo at a playable frame rate. ;)

So we can expect the cards to start at about R2500? :( A bit too much at the moment for me, and I though R1700 for my GTX560 was a lot.

GV-N66TOC-2GD – 1033MHz/1111/6008MHz 2GB GDDR5 Price: $349
GV-N66TiW-2GD – 915MHz/980/6008MHz 2GB GDDR5 Price: $299
:(

:(
Add 50% Africa tax. US pricing never works out 1:1 for here. ffs my company must start sending me overseas for business reasons so that I can load up on gear.

Hate to burst your bubble guys...but you're looking at a minimum of around R3300 and up.
Like I said Nvidia have completely stiffed the budget gamers, they don't have any cards that sell for less than 3k at the moment and I don't see them releasing one any time soon. If you wanna go Nvidia you're pretty much forced to drop R3300 minimum.

You can pick up a 7850 for around R2400, they are great overclockers, 99% of them will do 1150Mhz without touching voltage, and at that speed they are on par and sometimes faster than a GTX580 while using much less power and producing much less heat and noise.

I can attest to that, I have my 7850 at 1050Mhz using the stock drivers overdrive feature.

Just a q, the 610 that Axiz is giving away, that's like the entry level card? This is most probably a rebrand of which previous model number

Its a very basic entry level card. Not suitable for any form of gaming...well maybe very old classics.
Would be a decent card for a HTPC.

It's got HDMI! Im sold! Although could get a older gen card for a bit cheaper IMO, for a HTPC.
HD5450 for about R296 can get the job done :)

I have a EN210, this is better than my card :) So I may just be able to play SC2 with the same settings but with no or less staggering :D

Don't try to directly compare USA prices using the exchange rate. You will also need to factor in customs duty then also VAT at the border on the (Customs value+customs duty+10%)@ 14%. Essentially to go through all that would take a lot of effort and expense. I reckon your looking at close to 5K to import yourself. I'm not sure the exact calcs but I can check the relevant acts for exact details. I'm studying to become a CA so I need to know these implications.

Weird I thought there were no import duties on computer equipment?
