The guys I work with say big shit like this never happened during apartheid. They weren't even allowed to point their guns at the crowds. Sharpeville was rookies that got nervous and pulled a trigger and the crowds charged them.

Yeah, liking this to Sharpeville is a stretch, the only thing it does have in common is that it has brought a flame ever closer to the powder keg that is South Africa.

More like the issue has been dealt with enough in the discussion.

I just feel that we don't live in a ideal world (hard truth) where sexism, racism, and every other kind separation we have, doesn't exist. With that in mind, we can't (IMO) necessarily call out every single thing that has hints of sexism, racism, etc. Are they wrong? Yes, but I just feel there are more serious cases of the above mentioned to deal with than a comment where someone used the term "GF-mode"...

On the shooting: I'm rather appalled... The naive optimist in me dies slowly.
