Nintendo 3DS

So there hasn't been much going on in here for the last few weeks...even though the 3DSXL just released. Who is keen on getting one? Also, does anyone know more about the pixelation issues that are experienced with the bigger screen?

I will get a 3ds xl when my pokemon games come on 3ds carts or maybe sooner havent decided yet

When watching the youtube videos of the gameplay I don't notice much issues with images

The issues seem to be very subtle, but I have not seen this myself. I'll need to play with one first to check it out.

No charger isn't too bad its R150 anyway

Apparently Nintendo claims that they excluded the charger because they expect most of their 3DS XL customers to be already owners of the original 3DS and to drive costs down. I love my original 3DS and I have the circle pad pro as well for some games (MGS3D, RER, KH3D). I think they should have included the charger and left the purchase decision up to the consumer.

Yeah that's not too bad. But surely the cradle piece is a bit larger? The actual charger probably stays the same...

Yeah I read the same thing.

EDIT: Who has the new Kingdom Hearts? Is it as good as it looks?

So Game (a game retailer here in the UK) has the 3DS with the new Super Mario Bros for £129 (that R1.7K for those of you too lazy to use xe) and I am sourly tempted.

Would you guys say its worth it? I mostly want it to replay Pokemon games :o Especially Heart Gold, Black/White & Black/White-2.

Good deal. Especially since SMB2 is a new release.
Obviously you know that the Pokemon games are good, but there are also some awesome games on the platform and some more incoming, like Prof. Layton. Also, most of the 3DS games from last year and early 2012 are getting cheaper.

If you have no interest in the 3D features or games, stick to the normal DS, which will work out cheaper than this.

I was think about that, not sure if the 3D feature really appeals to me but I might try it just for the heck of it since the DSi and the 3DS price is diff is only about £29. The 3DS XL does look cool but its £170 new with no game which seems a bit heavy to me.

Although amazon has got an offer where u get the 3DSXL and either Super Mario 3D Land or The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D free. Hmmmm....
