Guild Wars 2

Although SS will move where the majority goes I think we are leaning towards Southern Legion's idea at the moment. Will keep you posted.

I have been having the worst time ever trying to get GW2 pre-PURCHASED.
Takealot.co.za only has the 1day early acces pre-ORDER. Same with BT. Kalahari does not specify which theyre putting out.
Incredible Constipation had the worst sales guy in their gaming section EVER, I gave up...

Sorta running out of ideas here, and I really cant afford to pay 55 Euro for the game directly off ANet's site. Thats WAAAAYYYY more than what local retailers are labeling.
Maybe I will just bite my lip and wait the extra 2 days...
 
Was a GW1 addict back in the day, played till 6:00am , slept till 11:00 and continued.
It got to the point of starting to dreaming builds :P.


Seriously cant wait for Guidl Wars 2, gonna be sweeet !!!
Time to revive my addiction hehe.

The only way you're going to get it pre-purchased now is through the GW2 site - SA had a fairly limited number of pre-purchase slots and those went a long time ago. It's that or pre-order via the locals.
 
So Aurora Glade was selected as SA resting spot.
I tried to keep up as much as I could and what I was gathering was people wanted to be there mainly for the Russian Guilds with nice guild numbers. This would help us with WvWvW as we don't elapse in the time zones making our world very strong. Don't worry Im not going into the language story but why Im posting, is cause of this:

They are "Undecided" now... (350 guildies)
[AGC] Amenity Gaming Community
They are "Undecided" now... (250 guildies)
To me the point of Aurora Glade is no longer there? Not trying to reopen the vote (heaven forbid :P) but the Russian and South African Alliance might not be there any more?
 
I promise you, the first few times where I have to ask someone in general chat to please repeat what they said in English so that I can participate/help in whichever event in whichever zone will be my last. I will then try and get all my friends to move with me to Gunnar's Hold. I am not saying that it will happen, but if it happens repeatedly, I am out, guild/guilds be damned.

I hated that in all the other MMOs I have played. Sure, diversity etc etc, but being excluded from events in MMOs due to language, is really painful. There are 2 Russian language servers.
 
With the amount of SA people joining that server at launch, you will find that the language barrier decreases a lot. At least you will get a Hey BOET in chat through all the Russian.

Yeah ive been looking for a pre purchase for a mate of mine and there are literally none left anywhere. So Anet sigh or 1 day pre order is your best bet at this time.

Also glad the server change decision hasnt... changed (changed twice in one sentence :? eish lol :D)

I'm of much the same opinion, if I find too many foreign languages I'm going to move - regardless of guild or community, because in the end of the day it's about my enjoyment of the game.

It was so bad many years ago on Eve that they eventually moved all the russians out to their own separate cluster.
And lemme tell ya... THANK GAWD FOR THAT!!!

There's a stress test tonight - I'll hop onto Aurora Glade, bounce around a bit and check the chat out for myself. Might be a good idea for the rest of you to hop on as well and see how you feel about it. There are a couple of big Russian guilds, but the majority of the guilds on the server seem to be English speaking - so maybe it won't be so bad.

It would be easier, of course, if ANet just designated a Russian server, considering how many Russian players there are, but they didn't, so we just have to roll with it.
