Would it be possible to give stats for a 12 month cycle say for the calendar year or from October to September since the fourth quarter seems like an important time for releases for 'consumercentric' products?

And would it be possible to get the actual sales figures per console per game or is that kept confidential by the research company?

There is something kinda fun about Sims though... I enjoyed it too for the hour I played it before destroying everything.
