Star Wars: The Old Republic

Hey guys

I'm a total MMO noob....SWTOR is my first one and I just levelled a trooper to 13.

I'm looking for a guild that is willing to give me a bit of help ... considerign my extreme noobness :wtf:

Server doesn't matter, because I'll roll a new caracter (I want to start a few more anyway)

Any suggestions
 
Hidden Beks server is your best bet, join up with republican knights. Check them out on repk.guildlaunch.com, it is the biggest SA guild on PVE, great people too!
 
For some reason the new patch won't let me play my game on my current video settings (2 screens). Been running it fine like that in maximized window mode ever since launch. :/
 
Heads up for those playing and who doesn't know, 1.3 is out today. Going to be playing GW2 here tomorrow though.
 
Republican Knights still accepting new recruits. Especially looking for tanks but all commited players wel come since we want to go to 16 man raids. Have cleary all raids in 8 man except for Explosive conflict hardmode and nightmare pillgrim.

WoW!!!!!! I just went on with the free 7day thing Star Wars announced and last time i played we had 100+ on Republic Fleet, logged on just now and it was just myself and another guy, felt realy strange playing all by myself.

And then i logged out check the server selection screen and shitload servers are LOCKED, and only 4 English servers availeble now.. seems like Star Wars realy died.

Not really, total population is around 1.3 million apparently, so it's not dropped so much. And a locked server doesn't mean it's necessarily empty for that matter.....
There's far fewer servers, but they're a lot bigger, with higher populations. Red Eclipse hasn't had less than 2 fleet instances live for a month that I can remember seeing, never mind any other instance or zone, instance queues are short, & the game is a whole lot of fun again.
Just make sure to use your free server transfer, & don't hang around on an empty server.
 
Yea i did the free transfer and it was alot better seeing 200+ players on the fleet, than me being alone earlier on those locked servers :P And i must admit i love the grouping thing they implemented.
 
Theyre only locked because they are going to merge them I think, and they dont want people to roll new characters on these servers.

I played my BH to level 46, but just got bored :( every planet had the same vibe... class story to each zone of planet, complete other quests in zone, go to next zone and kill some dude or find something important and get to the spaceport to leave only to find out that they really need to you for one last thing (the bonus quest). Good game for the story though, i like the art style but felt it lacked variety.
 
Yeah I'm bit bored of it too. No real point in crafting, I find the GTN to be quite dead. The warzones are getting very repetitive, and I despise Huttball. Not much into the endgame PvE either. Good endgame pvp would be nice, but it's just the same old warzones just with elitist pre-mades. In the end there's nothing enjoyable for me to do, just sit in the fleet like everyone else waiting for something to pop up.
 
Tuesday the 28th of August, 2 weeks from now. If you pre-purchase then you can start playing on Saturday 25th of August at 9am, that's next weekend.
 
Just finished the Sith Warrior story line (just in time as my sub is running out like today) and it's awesome, as expected of a Bioware game. Pity about the rest of the game though, had such high hopes for it. I do believe the blame falls on EA, firstly for rushing them to release the game unfinished, and secondly, well, for being EA.
