Sword Art. I read up to volume 8 and stopped there because my brother read volume 9 first and told me to wait until volume 10 is finished translating before reading both in one go.

Busy with Kingdom and Kuroko's Basketball. Kingdom is ok. Kuroko's basketball is what I call "determination anime" (Naruto...Bleach...Fairy Tail etc etc) and it's freakin' A.

I'm not sure if it could be considered 'space opera', but PlanetES is one of my all time favorite anime. It has an excellent story and is very character focused. I'd consider it a 'space drama', perhaps...

Thats about Episode... ~19 onwards, got a long way to go. Currently on Episode 568.
Macross, Irresponsible Captain Tylor, Galaxy Express 999, Crest of the Stars, and Banner of the Stars Gundam is not really a "space Opera". Not enough of a Drama element on Gundam to be labeled as a SO.
After a dismal mid year Japan seems to be producing quality anime again
