Windows 7 pre-order in South Africa - anybody?

Does anybody know where I can pre-order Windows 7 in SA at similar prices as some UK places like this are doing it?

Spose I'm not expecting MS to treat us any better than they do when it comes to Xbox and Xbox Live support... but here's hoping.

I reckon they will... MS SA are a lot more helpful regarding Windows, than they are with Xbox
 
Still waiting for any of our retailers to offer preorders. Only offer I have seen so far is buying vista and getting an win 7 upgrade voucher. Prophecy offered preorders for vista but so far nothing for win 7 with less than a month to go.
 
Hmmm, Im not sure which version to get.

Any recommendations? What are the benefits of Professional?
 
I have the RTM version and went with Ultimate 32bit. Is looks soo pretty and is very functional. Dont know the features i went with the cool sounding name.
 
Yea, I currently have RTM installed, but I will be buying a full 64 bit version. I'm kinda torn between premium and ultimate atm.

I have to activate my RTM yes as the copy i got isn't exactly legit. So yeah im a bit pressed for time as it runs out on the 2nd of Nov.
 
I would go with Ultimate. Its better in the long run, so that one day if you ever need to do something different with your OS, Ultimate can provide, and Home Prem won't necessarily. That's my recommendation, and what I personally will be going with.

I can't take it anymore!

I don't wanna do any pre-ordering, since I want the full retail version. I want the freedom to upgrade my hardware(possibly several times) in the next 3 years without any hastle.

From the pre-order pricing I've seen, these would be DSP versions, locked down to your current machine - failpant. Hope they get the full spectrum of products available FROM 22 Oct and not a few weeks later.

If you need advanced networking and bit defender go for ultimate else get home premium.

As a gamer I don't really see the point in going for anything else than home premium.

BTW. Anybody know whether taketwo is listing dsp or retail copies?? I think its dsp because of the price but it isn't specified.

Got windows 7 with my new Dell Laptop... Such a pleasure to not be working with Vista anymore... Think i might go "snow leopard" next though... Always wanted to give Apple a go! Just have to start saving now.. Haha
