Consider the optical audio will work with my PS3 as well as my XBOX I just bought one of these:

To make switching easier it would have to have some pretty god awful sound to disappoint me. Will be trying it with Borderlands tonight.

Know the feeling. I've been eyeing this headset for over a year so yeah.
BTW at Eurogamer I got more streetpass hits on my DS in one day that in the last month, went from 9 to 44.
