So I just got Excited for Halo 4

The had the game for testing on campus on Thursday. I actually got excited until I realised it was one on one split screen MP, not worth my time.
 
I don't see how you can judge the game from a multiplayer on a split screen. All you can really tell is if the graphics are ok and after that fail of an opportunity to show off the game I've lost interest.

So you cant judge a game based on its multiplayer aspect on a split screen? The same multiplayer element that is almost as highly anticipated as the story of the game itself?

Im still a little bit confused here...

Are you disappointed in the game itself or the fact that the "campus" where you were able to test it only had the multiplayer split screen on display? I get the whole "different strokes for different folks" thing, but EVERY single person i spoke to who played the MP (with split screen as well) at rAge this year was equally impressed with what they saw/played/experienced...

I'm just saying there are 2 legs to any game, the single player campaign and the MP, all we've seen is the MP. Plus I'm similar to Yahtzee in that I focus more on the SP over the MP.

Also why is campus inside inverted comas?

Do u play Black Flops, Bf3 or MoH Sp Demo? No that's because like Halo a) the SP isn't the main draw for most & b) providing SP demo could potentially spoil story movements, especially in a game like Halo 4 where the exact details of the plot have been well guarded, until the leak.

The MP also shows off the mechanism much better than a quick 15 min sp demo. Fact is if your gonna A buy Halo 4 you already know it and the lack of a sp demo won't deter you. If you are looking for SP info check the trailers and interviews on the net.
 
So a 15 min gameplay demo is a spoiler whereas a 15 min gameplay video is not. I've seen plenty of gameplay videos for games and they don't rune the story since its normally the first part of the game.

And why am I not allowed my own view on how to judge a game. Why can't I believe that you can do a lot more taking your time checking out details in the SP over a MP frenzy.
Last time I checked a system where free thought and opinion isn't allowed was called communism and "most" people don't like that.

I feel the same way, although I've played them they certainly weren't special to me. Fun sure but nothing to write home about or anything.
Unless of course I'm still not allowed an opinion

It Halo. Its a fast paced fun Console shooter with a reliable is slightly silly/cheesy campaign and a solid MP component. The Hype around Halo is, and always has been, that it was the game that brought FPSes to home consoles, while there had been a few competent alternative over the years but few grabbed the main stream mind as much as Halo. The same question "what is all the hype about" can be asked of any long running series. For me Halo has always had an interesting story and awesome co-op/MP.

Im a major halo fanboy... i do not deny this, in fact, BT Games are hosting a comp to prove who is the biggest halo fan... this is what i sent them as my proof:

Halo 3 xbox, all the halo games from 3 and up, all in CE version except ODST which didnt have a CE, 3 shirts and my avatar on xbl with the reach beta tester hoodie and halo 3 CE theme :D just a pity my book and comic collection (all books and comics to date) is all digital :/ and i only have digital version of Halo 1 and 2 on my PC, so no boxes for them either :/
