MOH warfighter

I imagine people are tired of modern day shooters. I havn't played one since CoD MW1 so I'm actually enjoying it. The Multiplayer crashes were EXTREMELY frustrating, but a new patch just dropped and seems to have sorted most of them out, except the battlelog crash bug...

Which is easily avoided, just don't use battlelog until they fix it and use the in game browser.

I think Totalbiscuit sums up what is wrong with MoH (and i suppose other Military FPSs) so perfectly :

It is actually hilarious when you hear it like that, this is why i dislike the single player campaigns in alot of these types of games.

Okay, played a couple of rounds of MoH Warfighter multiplayer. It's a total frickin mess!
It's a 1 hit kill fiasco - you have to see or be seen otherwise you'll die in what feels like 2 hits.
Bullet spread is completely random.
You can't have iron sights as default (some assault rifles have 2x scopes which makes it impossible to use a CQB),
The UI is a total mess you get lost after changing something on your weapon.
1/10 times you'll spawn outside the map and have to wait 10 seconds just to spawn again.

I swear I suck at Counter Strike, I did well on Battlefield 3, Ghost Recon Online I hold my own. This game is such a mess. Rather stick to BF3, at least if it's a 1 on 1 or even a 2 on 1 in any other FPS you had a chance to fight back.

Say it ain't so Glordit, say it ain't so... Getting these mixed reviews from everyone is really putting me on the fence...

Picked up MOH 2010 and its really really good. Makes me keen to check Warfighter out. Baffles me how they could stuff it up.

Honnestly it feels like they wanted to mix BF and CoD. It did'nt work, to well.

***Edit
It feels and plays like F2P shooter, but it would loose to BF Heros, Ghost Recon Online and Tribes.

Actually, Warfighter and 2010 is not that much different. Same problems and complaints, just more guns.

If the Germans can 1) stop singing over the VOIP and 2) go play on their own servers, one can decide how the hit detection is. My internet was dodgy the whole weekend, so I can't really confirm crappy hit detection or not.
It just pisses me off when a sniper get a one shot kill standing 2 feet from you but you have to empty half a magazine into a person to get a kill with the other weapons.

Maps don't feel right and the spawning is really screwed. During one Hot Zone game we spawned right in the enemy's defensive line.

Frequent and stupid game crashes. Game runs smooth but pre-rendered movies freezes. Origin is crap. Battlelog fails. In Game menu is a disaster.

Sound is amazing. SP looks and sounds better than MP. SP story is fun and action packed.

I notice people complain about the "realism", but if that is what they really look for in a game, why is there more COD servers than ARMA servers? This was suppose to be an alternative for COD, so deal with it.

It is a fun game, but unfortunately it fails to bring something very exciting to the table. I predict that the multiplayer will last only a month or so, since it is the same as the first one's, with pretty much the same problems.

The developers should have listened to the complaints about the first one and worked on that. It has all the promise, but simply do not deliver.

The ingame menu... OMFG. It is so bad. it's like a maze of options you must go through to choose an attachment.

I think fence sitters should wait for a 2nd patch and then give the game a try.
I had a nightmare with game glitches but after updating my drivers from nvidea and microsoft it seems to be running well now. The SP is amazing and intense although I feel that the breach mechanic works well the headshot to unlock new techniques is lame. All that changes is in the one you kick the door down, then another you attack the lock with an axe and now I'm using a shotgun on that poor door knob.
Granted I have seen a couple of weird glitches here and there overall though I'm enjoying the game. I've been following this game all year and I'm a little disappointed in the polishing but I feel they made their point. They wanted to throw in lots of small fiddly details and I can see it. Maybe if they took the poetic freedom that CoD and BF3 uses then I'm sure it would be less buggy but it wouldn't be MoH then.

If you ignore the game breaking MP bugs, play on Objective based maps, and hardcore servers. You will enjoy the game a bit more. I cant see myself playing for long.

Couldn't agree more. Gaming on a leash.

That is it. Officially over this game, local server are flooded with ints making it impossible to play. Un-installing and moving on.

Well, thanks for sharing...:p

OK, I tried to play the game on local servers and constantly had that rubber band/pausing effect that irritated me. I played on a MWEB server and had a terrible time, quit and immediately joined a MWEB BF3 server, which ran fine. (My WISP uses MWEB).
So I doubt it is only my connection.

However, when I select Matchmaking, it almost always will select a International server, mostly Germany for some reason and the game runs very smoothly. All the trouble I have with local servers are gone, just a little delay, but even then I do much better than on a local server.

I can't explain it, it goes against any logic that I can think off, but there you go. Its possible that others have the same problem and that's why people from Europe are playing on our servers.

I really want to get MOH:W once the price has come down to ~R200 or so (or goes on special). What is the South African Player base looking like atm? How is the hitreg and assuming the SA population is quite small how does the game play on EU servers where the ping is ~200ms?

Would the game be worth it for R200? I am not willing to pay R400 for this game.

That's where I stand at the moment... Even bought random games with the cash I was about to use for MOH:W"whistling:
