Predictable? I'm sorry, but what?
(I don't even like CoD myself, I'm just honestly trying to figure out how someone who plays one generic military FPS slags off another equally generic military FPS)

Actually multiplayer does become predictable even against skilled opponents,especially on small maps.
@Graal,if you think BF3 is generic (if you are referring to BF3 btw) then name 5 other games that came out in the last 5 years that allows you to drive tanks,boats,jets and heli's with a large array of weapons.
My main point is that Blops2 doesn't deserve any special attention,play it if you like i'm not gonna tell you what you or shouldn't play but it's just about the most generic fps out there.

And this doesn't happen in BF3? Every match in BF3 feels much the same to me, players always using the same tactics, same routes, etc.
So your sole argument for BF3 not being generic is that it has vehicles? Okay.

I just think it's really retarded for people to slam CoD, for being... Call of Duty. That while they praise another generic FPS for apparently being the best thing since sliced bread, despite it doing the exact same thing CoD is doing, just not on a yearly schedule.
Basically you've got filthy FPS peasants calling other FPS peasants peasants for being FPS peasants. See where this is going?

You're bashing CoD for being the same thing it's always been, yet you play BF3, which is pretty much the same thing it's always been.
It's not so much that I'm trying to praise and/or defend CoD as it is I'm trying to point out a certain hypocrisy in those who so feverishly bash CoD and it's players every chance they get.
Ultimately, what this whole CoD bashing thing comes down to is one group of hobgoblins having a popularity contest with another group of hobgoblins, while in the end they're all hobgoblins and everyone else looks down on them with disdain anyway.

Can people stop using these tiny differences to separate and defend their game as the best. End of the day its a FPS modern day soldier, they are both exactly the same just with a different paint scheme.
Also until you've actually played the game, you don't have the ability to disclaim a fair opinion.

People might as well be praising a platinum road because it was a gold road last year and a silver road before that even though it still has the same rusted signs and old traffic lights.

The thing with reviewers is they rate the game not the series. But you on the other hand rate blops2 based on the series which is shit. Its A good game no doubt about it. But you haven't even played blops 2 yet. So you don't know if its a copy paste or not. And btw its not, they changed allot.

As a massive battlefield fan boy, I have to admit that cod blops 2 impresses me.
For pure mp, i would still probably go play bf3 99% of thr time, but so far the sp in blops2 is far more of a 'ride' than bf3, zombie mode is a cool extra value feature and the mp is fast and brutal. No complaints other than my 32 year old reflexes are showing
And let us be honest, if we wanted ' realistic' we would be playing arma2 every night.

I think think both games bring something different to the gamers. I really enjoy playing both games it just depends on what my mood is at the time.

I've played Cod4 since 2007, online, occasionally competitivley. It is the best FPS online out there, close behind is BF3.
The call of duties since cod4 have been average online, i've played WAW - Mw3. I started playing BF3 in the begining and hated it. Now it's a game I always play. Are you telling me that BLOPS 2 online, will drastically change my opinion on call of duty online in its current state?

You can't really compare Cod and BF,one is centered around small maps and infantry play while the other is centered around small,medium and large maps with both infantry and vehicle play.
I still rate BF3 better then Cod4 and MW3 based on enjoyment and longevity but that's just my personal opinion.
I'll try out Blops2 when the price drops below R300.

Except CoD isn't a piece of shit. It's a pretty good game which caters to gamers looking for a certain playstyle.
Maybe if you got that stick out of your ass and looked past all your internet rage kiddie bullshit you'd realise that, accept that CoD isn't your type of game, and then move on with your life without feeling the need to insult people because their taste doesn't align with yours.
Or, you know, you can continue to be 'edgy', doing things like slagging off games you haven't even played yet in a typical circle-jerk fashion.
