BTGames worst service ever with Black Ops 2..

Do they not realize that they are not impressing their customers? i mean the gaming community can be rather vocal and its not a customer base you wanna mess around with.

I have reported it on Hellopeter just now and i have send the list through to Steven Moore who handles complaints from BTgames and linked him the 3 sites i made threads, so i am awaiting his feedback.

Hahaha perfect example of a gamer scorned:D hopefully they get their act together because i really like the idea of a dedicated gaming store

Another person asked me on Mybroadband as well and yea it is that guy, don't even get me started with him.

And i'll do a Hellopeter report as well but that list is so long allready not sure if my input would even count :P
yeah that's the owner, Joe

Steven Moore Replied..

Hi William

Please advise when payment was made as we can only release stock once payment is reflecting on our systems. Proof of payment and all just says that payment has been made and not yet confirmed. All payment conformations are done during office hours 08:00-15:00 weekdays and we are closed on weekends.

Trust this clears up the matter and will take to the regional manager about the staffs attitude.

Kind Regards

Steven

Proof of payment shows WHEN payment was made... dumbass

Not true, proof of payment indicates that payment was made by you, not that the funds have been received by the other party. From a business perspective this is not a bad practice.

yeah it doesn't show when the payment would have cleared, but it does show exactly to the minute (second in FNB's case) when the payment was made, which is what he was asking. I think Steven Mooron is just trying to make more excuses

Ok, I dont read Steven's response the same way you do. The processes suck from a client service perspective, but you will be hard pressed to find a retailer that will release goods to you unless the payment reflects in their account.

i dont understand why dont they just use payfast, its an excellent system. Also, there a BTGames representative on the forum?

I haven't bought anything from BT Games in ages, but the reply you received just reeks arrogance. No apologies for the manner in which the matter was dealt with, nothing. I'll keep this in mind next time I'm thinking of buying something.

As the first respondent said, Steampowered.com :D No bad experiences there :D

Steam might be good but Takealot is also great.

Just don't buy from BTgames anymore as simple as that, problem is when you want that special edition that only btgames get rights to.

I though i learned my lesson from previous times with them but seems not.. now i'll need to keep it in mind, i normally just buy from Takealot.

And from someone who handles complaints "Steven Moore" does not look like he does his job quite right either, i was waiting for a apology nothing received.

And to be pointed away not to get your game on release day it will make any gamer pissed.

That would seem to imply that they care about you as a customer.....sadly this is not the case. As you say, vote with your wallet.

Proof of payment does not equal receipt. Kalahari use the same system as do most companies, generally you don't notice this in an online order with home delivery. Nobody releases goods without payment, its bad business and its easy to forge a proof of payment, any business doing that will be filling for liquidation by year-end.
Like I said you don't notice this gap because most online retailers bring in the stock when they get proof of payment and then sent it off to the customer when payment clears. That gap is not noticeable because the customer just assumes it a delivery thing. If your gonna pay via an EFT and then pick it up in store your gonna have a bad time waiting for it to clear before pick up.

Why do you think Takealot says on their pre-orders to send payment in prior to release?

Granted your reply might have been very arrogant but I'm sure he gets the same e-mail every day from people who don't understand banking clearance.

Never had any issues with them. Maybe you doing it wrong. if you use absa bank for example you will have to wait 3-4 days for payment to clear and only then will it reflect on their accounts.

I vote the OP is the one that is wrong. unlike some other store that only delivered a game on monday and it released on the friday

@Ike_009 I did not use EFT, i used a Credit Card if it makes a diffrence, which i do understand Credit Cards take effect immediately.

Anyway i am over it.. Still hope to get my game today though for some fragging tonight :)
