So chatting to my friend about new games and getting blops 2 etc. and I notice his lack of enthusiasm, I ask whats up and he says he sold his GPU.
He sold his GPU to buy supplements for gym!?:wtf: the gym is paying off but dayim man. Thats a steep sacrifice just to show off some muscle.

Im actually a bit distraught at all this, might need to take the day off.

Ah, supplements, the great unnecessary money sink. :)

It's perfectly natural for your interest in a hobby to wax and wane. So just give it a while. :D

Hmmm I go to the gym and play games, but won't just sell something to buy supplements...in fact, 95% of the supplements out there are complete nonsense. GPUs on the other hand, aren't.

Bored? Desperate to boost your post count? I agree with M0nk, and would go so far as to say that if you are not taking the mickey, then you may be blowing your friend's decision out of proportion. Is your shared interest in playing games so integral to your friendship that apathy on either side would jeopardise it?

I didn't think so. ;-)

It is quite possible to adopt a healthier lifestyle by partaking in a certain amount of physical activity [beyond exercising you mouse and keyboard or controller hands] and watching one's intake of saturated fats without wasting money on protein supplements. Has your friend considered ostrich, tuna, pilchards, or lean cuts of read meat?

To swimming, I add going for brisk walks regularly, taking the stairs instead of the escalator or lift, etc.

Phew......this post almost scared me away from EVER posting again!!!

I have taken some breaks, but never considered quitting it. How the hell does that even work? You just chuck everything away?

I never played games until late last year, mostly because I moved to SA for a few years, and have left my friends and everything fun I did back home behind. My boyfriend occasionally plays video games, so I used to play a few games with him, and it started branching out from there. I'm fairly sure that once I go back home, I'll drop the gaming thing, but not sure. Some days I really feel like playing something, other days, not at all.

Tell him his balls will shrink. That'll get him gaming again.

Sad but true.

A bit off topic here, but how long do you plan on staying?

Ummm ok, I take it you have tried all the supplements in the world and from that you deducted that 95% of them are non-sense.

Ok how is that relevant to supplements? He injected huge amounts of synthol in his arms, he said he took too much steroids but is complete bs, the rest of his body is not even close to being as big as his arms. There is a big difference between supplements, steroids and fish oil.
