What are critics saying about Call of Duty: Black Ops II?

Except CoD isn't a piece of shit. It's a pretty good game which caters to gamers looking for a certain playstyle.

Maybe if you got that stick out of your ass and looked past all your internet rage kiddie bullshit you'd realise that, accept that CoD isn't your type of game, and then move on with your life without feeling the need to insult people because their taste doesn't align with yours.

Or, you know, you can continue to be 'edgy', doing things like slagging off games you haven't even played yet in a typical circle-jerk fashion.

I haven't exactly insulted anyone yet,are you sure you aren't talking about yourself?

Still it's my personal opinion on the game.

I can kinda see why some members have a problem with your attitude.

Let me simplify it for you. :)

1- Person doesn't play game
2- Person says game is overrated and shouldn't be receiving such high scores

Reaction: What a tosser. Nobody takes him seriously.

1- Person actually plays game
2- Person says game is overrated and shouldn't be receiving such high scores

Reaction: People might not agree, but hey, that's the guy's opinion. It's an informed opinion because he has actually experienced the game himself and isn't basing it on conjecture.

The former is you. That's why people have an issue with your opinion here. How can someone say something is overrated when he/she hasn't even played it yet? It's ridiculous.

Then i will play it...when the price drops.

Price is too high for what it offers :p

Yes yes then lets debate how a piece of shit tastes, personally i will will never taste a piece of shit and i think it tastes bad but you're probably going to tell me i am a complete tosser because i haven't tasted it yet and i should't tell other people it tastes bad because i haven't tasted it yet.

Like most things, if you haven't tried it you know absolutely nothing and your opinion is worthless (Just like you are to this thread).

At the moment you sound like some American commenting about africa. I still remember the time a american trying to convince me I'm retarded cause I said I was from South Africa and we have electricity and internet. Congratulations that's what you are at the moment.

Now stop telling people with first hand experience that they are wrong and shut up until you have actually played the game.

Read the rest of the thread,i said i will play it at some point so i won't be commenting on Blops2 anymore until i played it.

People are already used to Activision making the same bad game each year so it's normal for people to think the next one will be bad if it runs on the same principles as the previous titles.

Instead of telling me not to raise my opinion why don't you tell me what makes Blops2 so great?

Sorry your reply on came after I made my comment posted, I'm using my phone not my PC. Still my point is still valid.

I actually prefer CoD over BF because it doesn't try so hard to look pretty, BF does that all the time and it just pisses me off. CoD are using the recipe that works, they don't need to change it. The MP maps are fun and fast paced which is what I want. I get unto a BF which is huge and I spend half my time running back to the line and the rest trying to hide from snipers. That all I see in Battlefield is freaking snipers, that's not fun. I hardly play long sessions, I'm not gonna waste crawling around.

You shouldn't be running around in the first place on large maps, snipers are easy to kill with single shot fire and are hardly an issue.
If you want fast paced in BF3 then either play CQ or TDM.

I guess Cod can be pretty fun if you like an arcade shooter where you just run around and point and click at the first enemy you see.

My issue with BF3 is that it's pretentious. EA went on and on about how much better their game is than CoD, then come release day, they release Battlefield 3: CoD. The few vehicles aside, the game is much less tactical than either BC2 or BF2, with the same gameplay CoD has being encouraged in BF3. It claims to be a realistic shooter, but in all actuality it's nothing more than an arcade shooter with vehicles.

Doesn't feel like an arcade shooter,i guess you haven't played against a clan in BF3 yet.

Teamwork and coordination is everything.

BF3 is nothing like Cod other then the CQ maps which are made to cater for Cod players.

Really now? Guess you haven't played against a clan in CoD or Counter-Strike then. Teamwork and coordination is everything there as well.

I'd like to pop in and saw a few things, I can't really agree with those two comments. Now I am an avid CoD gamer (Been so since CoD1) but I do play I do have a mistress who's called Battlefield :p.

1) There is a lot of running around in almost all BF games/maps, and your skill level just let's you stay in the thick of the action for longer. When you die though, it's a loooooong run back to the action (Especially if you're playing Conquest!). A lot of players, myself included don't like that about BF.

2) Both CoD and BF are full of snipers. CoD is full of quick scoping whereas BF has snipers camping at the edge of the map. What does piss me off is when you get a shotgun sniper in BF, that is not realistic and seriously irritating.

3) Both games require teamwork. BF has teams working together in the form of infantry and vehicles, that's the only difference. Honestly, play against a CoD clan, teamwork and team tactics are a HUGE part of CoD and clan matches.

4) Now as too BF3 being a lot like CoD, I have to agree. BFBC2 felt unique, slower, more tactical. BF3 has thrown a lot of that out of the window in favour of more fast paced action, I think this can really be felt when you play on the larger maps, the guns just don't "feel" right. That's my experience imo. BF3 feels soooo much better on the CQC maps like Metro and those two others (Can't remember their names).

5) CoD is more of an arcade shooter, yes, but people forget to remember that the games cater to two audiences. CoD caters to the fast paced, high octane, adrenaline pumping combat. BF3 is a game for people who like a slower form of combat who prefer a slightly more realistic view of combat and like vehicles. Very different games.

My issue with BF3 is that it's pretentious. EA went on and on about how much better their game is than CoD, then come release day, they release Battlefield 3: CoD. Pretty much my sentiments. I remember EA attacking CoD in several instances, and yet in the end of the day they stole a lot of the CoD series. To me, CoD just wants to be the best at what it is, a past paced shooter filled with thrills, and I believe Black Ops II hit that nail squarely on the head. BF3 came out and tried to be what it's not and suffered for it.

1)Well i rarely run around on large maps,i always spawn near places where vehicles are available and do my utmost to keep the vehicle up and running while going to objectives that are under enemy attack.

2)Sniping is allot harder in BF3 then it is in Cod,slow bullet velocity and bullet drop only makes snipers a threat to targets that are sitting still or moving in predictable patterns

3)I'm still looking for proof of teamwork in Cod other then covering your buddies blindspots

4)Yes BF3 is allot more fast paced now but tactics are also important, anyone who has played cod expecting to run around and kill the first guy is going to get his ass kicked when the guy jumps into cover and then out of cover prefiring.I'm geuss the guns can feel weird for some people who aren't used to the recoil, bullet drop and suppression

5)This is the only point i can agree with though strangely enough the TDM game mode which is usually fast paced in BF3 is the most popular.

And now:
