I spent about 3 hours play last night and other than slightly Dodgy AI, A clumsy cover system and an idiotic checkpoint system it feels like a more polished Blood Money. If your a purist your going to reload a lot to get that perfect score. There is also a crap load of replayability that i've seen since most challenges can't be completed in a single playthrough. I would advice no looking a the challenges screen during your first go at a mission as I may make you feel obligated to play a certain way. I've decided to just play the first time round and focus on challenges on subsequent playthrought.
Is it flawless? Not at all but for me the Hitman series has always been like the STALKER series; Flawed but uniquely enjoyable.
The Vinyl figure that comes with the Deluxe edition is awesome BTW:
I got a perfect score for the King of China Town Mission last night as well as a silent assassin rank and it was immensely satisfying.

Guys A bit off topic here, but what was you're favorite mission/mission's in the hitman games?
my little list
Silent assassin- the bank mission
contracts- bedingford mansion.
Blood money- the one where you kill the gangster and his wife that has an affair with the poolman.

Figuring out the one guard sniffs the teen age daughters panties... chloroform on those...
That mission had it all. Poisoned doughnuts, steam room accident, braai accident... was brilliant to play.

I dont feel like I wasted my £50. But thats just me. I think if you are a huge Hitman fan you will probably enjoy it regardless of its faults. Though if you are unsure hold off a few months until it goes cheaper or hits a steam sale. Especially with Far Cry 3 out in 2 weeks risking it on something ur not 100% about seems silly.

Yes I am though, played every single Hitman game in its moer. I'm still really keen for this. I think I'm just oging to get it anyway!

I've only played about an hour so far but I'm impressed. Played without the cheap gimmicks. Omega's post about it pretty much sum's it up

I was so looking forward to playing this when I got home tonight, but once again I have to download fucking 2GB before I can even play the game. 
I don't mind the bandwidth, but having to wait to play a game I paid for is just bullshit. It was bad enough that Blops 2 had a 3GB update when I bought it, now I have to wait for another game. Should have just bought the PS3 version; having to download 2GB before I can even go into the game is just fucking ridiculous. No wonder so many people pirate games.

So did I, but I had to work until 18:00 and then only got home at about 19:00 to start installing. I'm quickly getting tired of games with these huge patches on the first day/during the first week. I have a lot of respect for IO, but developers need to make sure the game is working properly before they release the fucking thing.

I originally planned on getting the PS3 version (had the professional edition pre-ordered), but then I decided to get the PC version instead since I have all the previous Hitman games on PC and it's about R200 cheaper.
Yeah, PS3 updates can get very big as well, but it's very rare that they are THAT big. Steam games seem to have much larger updates in general though: Black Ops 2 has had updates of over 3GB on PC already and last night I had to test someone's PS3 version of the game and there was only a 58MB update.

PS3 updates take forever even on my 20mb line.

If you plan on maxing the graphics...be warned...we are talking insane system requirements for high to ultra graphics.
That said it is an absolutely gorgeous game, they did an astonishingly awesome job with the in game graphics.
As a tip, maxed out the game makes a i7 + GTX670 look slow although its not a fast paced game so running at between 40-70 fps is perfectly fine. I think there is some optimizing to be done but wow its stunning. Will up load Screen shots tomorrow...and yes I can max it
