2012 is rapidly drawing to a close and here at MyGaming we are reflecting on the best games of the past year. It doesn’t really matter what the MyGaming crew says though – we want to know what the community thinks!

We have begun the voting for the best games of the year in various categories, as well as the best game overall for 2012.

Please lend your opinion to the community vote by participating in the poll attached to this thread.

Looks like Far Cry 3 is going to sweep these awards. Is it just because it was released soonest and therefore people remember it more than others?
 
If Borderlands 2 was written properly for a PC - I'm looking at you inventory system. I might have voted for that.
 
Black Ops was awesome. Had the most ruthless villian and all the characters were great, gameplay was super super aggressive and chaotic.

Far Cry 3 is the best though. Your first 5 minutes with it will sway your vote in its favour without a doubt.

Not necessarily... I think it's far better than all the others I've played. I even went back to Black Ops II, Hitman and Dishonored, and still find it better!
 
Even though Farcry 3 was the better game overall of the 2, Borderlands 2 did the First Person Shooting better in my opinion. I had more fun shooting things in Borderlands 2 than I did with Farcry 3. I enjoyed the stealth and open world a lot more in FC3 though.
