I guess it depends on what you use your machine for. Perhaps you want to elaborate a bit more?

You need an upgrade, what you got there is pretty kak.
Blunt as a butter knife!
Dude, seriously not a helpful post
He was just being sincere...
The guy asked if he needs a pc upgrade, and I answered yes.
Very bluntly, yes. Shame arreme ou ... :wtf:
Yeah sure, it was the pretty k@k comment which wasn't helpful ;)
I concur.:)

I had such a system many years back. Looking back... Glad I'm rid of it...

Edit: Mine was a single core Intel. Gave it to my Dad upon purchasing goods and building up my current rig.

But why? There is so much more better motherboards out there.

Like the guys asked you, give us an amount of what you can spend and lets see what we can do for you.

Like was said earlier... what is your budget. If it's like R2000, you may almost just stick with what you have :)

OK, spend around half of it on the GFX :) The rest you can get an i5, mb and ram from. I suppose your case and PSU is still okay?

Decide what you want first. Then check online stores.

You wanna go LGA 775 / 1155? I just upgraded from an LGA775 Core2Duo E8400 which I o/c to 3.8Ghz, but it was still bottlenecking on GTA4 and BF3 on 1920x1080.

Hope that helps. I would definitely recommend 4 cores. The rest depends on your budget.
