Played Terran in beta, but have not bothered to get retail yet. Not sure if I'm going to any time soon, since I don't really belong to a community to play with. Not much of a solo game :p

Sooo I'm trying to create an account and get "Were sorry, but you are unable to sign up for a Station Account at this time." Not very helpful as I have no idea as to WHY i cant sign up for a station account.... Anyone else have this problem/Figure out a solution?

It might be due to your station name or some other registration field. Personally i didn't have that issue but i've heard from others and they experienced that same kind of thing. Maybe just check that all fields are unique and try again.

Whats the lag like?

Saint, Lag spikes are better after a large patch in December but it all depends if you flow with the Zerg or not... I find with crazy Zerg action the lag does take its grim hold...

The latency is around 200ms which is normal, but you don't feel it at all when playing, even in gun fights you don't feel like you're at a disadvantage. The net code is really solid. Performance lag depends on your system but they do favour Intel a bit. It seems there are some known issues with AMD CPUs

It was just a temporary lag spike, but, at the time, it was quite bad. Couldn't move an inch without rubberbanding.
I'm still to update my PS2, when I get the chance.

Changing the country to US fixed the problem for me BTW, I'm still able to access the same servers and stuff, apparently it just changes the currency displayed in the store...

Now all you need to do is get over to www.grrr.co.za/forum and get the Mumble details we have a couple of players that squad up on a regular basis and we want to expand our ZA player base so ZA can play with one goal in mind total domination while we on the servers.

Is this game completely free?

You buy SC credits with real money - Whole reason why i uninstalled it on saturday after installing it on friday. I hate these types of game where its based more on pocket rather than personal skill.

But sorry yes to answer your question it is "Free" to play.

If this was in the diablo 3 thread I would understand but would you please explain what you mean by this for Ps2?

If you stuck around longer you'd realise that with a few exceptions (hellfire rockets) you can't actually buy power. Most of the weapons are either side grades or situational, not gun A is stronger than gun B.

Also if you play enough you can get anything that paid players are getting and all upgrades are cert locked so you can't buy those with station cash.

You were rather hasty in judging the game as "Pay to Win" which it very much is NOT and it's most definitely free to play. It's completely up to you if you want to save time unlocking a new weapon.

I walked onto the battlefield with my four wheeler - got owned by a tank, switched to engineer ran out and then got owned by a couple of flying units. Pretty much sucked getting thrown into the game aswell with no tutorial of any kind and no guidance other than Youtube vids i had to find for myself.

So yeah i tried sticking around Isengard but was too overwhelmed on wether to buy some stuff or not so i didnt even bother.

Ill leave your guys Planetside 2 thread, shouldnt have actually made any comments at all really unless they where positive. I guess i didnt have my morning cuppa before i commented this morning.

Over and out.
