First 45 mins impresssion:
Thought I'd try a different class I usually play and created a Ranger. Defeated my first elite enemy and got to the first town where I saw other players running around. Progressed a little more to the Mud Flats.
Graphics are decent - I like them. They're not amazing, but I have no complaints in that department. Gameplay is a little slow paced, but not unbarebly slow that I'm frustrated. I realise the first 10 or 20 levels will take a while.
I noticed mobs like to swarm you, so killing them quickly as possible is recommended. There are enough of them to level you decently in the beginning.
Using gems is also interesting. You socket them to items you find and they give you new bonuses / attacks. They also level up with you. Strange concept, but one I'm liking so far.
The concept of no gold is something I'm still trying to get my head around, but I'm getting there. Instead, you can sell loot at vendors for broken up items. You can also buy new stuff with these broken up items.
So far I'm only level 4 and I really enjoyed my first 45 minutes. The skill tree is dauntingly MASSIVE, but I feel that adds to the fun.
Oddly, Friends seem to be added via character name and not account name. Which means, every time your friend creates a new character, you must add that character too.
