Overclocking ram?

Hey is anyone here into overclocking I want some guidance.

I have:
i5 2400 cpu ;
Intel Burrage DP67BG board,
Corsair xms 3 2x4G ram.

now my question,the ram is currently running at 1333mhz but can do 1600mhz would it even be worthwhile with the the fsb of the cpu ?

The bios has a built in xms profile which makes the ram 1600mhz at 1.65v, im wondering if this is safe and what kind of effect it will have on power consumption on the system as a whole if its even noticeable?

If you can do it without changing voltage/latency, go for it, if not, then don't (unless you know just what the hell you are doing) . If you do however change the voltage , make sure the difference between the vtt and vdimm is 0.5v or below. Also make sure your timings aren't loose.

The fact the voltage goes up does deter me, but like i said the ram has a xms profile which the bios picks up that profile pushes the voltage up to 1.65 instead of 1.5.. so 'm not sure. will check the difference as indicated, can you tell me what that would do if it was higher and why?
