My new toy :D

I Own Xbox and i like it lots :) however if i had oppertunity to get a ps3 aswell id go for it. Btw i also have that other console (WII) its pretty useless unless u wanna play dedicated titles like Zelda or gf does yoga. With that being said they all have thier place in world. Xbox controller FTW tho.

This was funny to read. Though I might cause a stir.
But seriously that Starwars Xbox is really sweet dude! Still envious of it.

I really want to know why people(i.e OmegaFenix) say that? I don't have a problem with PSN my online gaming experience has always been good on the PS3, same goes for the XBOX Live is nice and works really well, I don't like paying to play as I don't really see the added benefit of paying to play online as I get no real anything for it?

No Party functionality, no out of the box voip (you dont get a headset with the PS3 you need to buy it seperately). I did that to play MAG online and the entire experience from trying to get into a MP game to trying to get the thing to pick up my special PS3 blutooth headset to talking with other players sucked. On Xbox live if me and my good friends Murph & Grimspoon decided its time for a bit of fucking around in NFS Hot Pursuit we I hit my guide button, invite to party and I am talking with them, without issues, in under 60 second. To get them into my games is usually only a press of the X button away and most games with an online functionality has this feature.

Next up the Store: The PSN store is slow (Even on my 20mb line) and the interface retarded. Having to first add money to some wallet before I can purchase the game is almost as stupid as MS's MSPoint System. Atleast on the xbox it comes up with a messages saying "Add More Points" if you are on the purchase screen for an item.

Overall the PSN seems to miss the entire point of an online service, to provide a easy & effective service for player to be social with whoever they want.

I enjoy playing games on both my consoles (and my MacBook Pro) but I prefer playing Online on my xbox. Sure I have to pay for it but at the service offers functionality that works and has over the years provided me with significantly less issues than my various attempts to get a similar experience out of the PS3 online.

Speaking of the store, I really like that I can purchase XBox content on the website, and then when I turn on my XBox, it downloads automatically.

Speaking of subscriptions, I now have XBL Gold, and PSN+, both valid for about a year still, and I think they are both well worth having. I prefer XBL for online gaming and you have to pay for that, and I got a good heap of games that I hadn't played yet with my PSN+ sub. Just finished RDR and Bulletstorm.

I own a PS3 and was planning on getting a xbox just to stream movies after i did a update on my PS3 and started getting a cinivia error, but now i just use my laptop.

I totally forgot what this thread was about by the time I got here. Um I choose xbox?, though I do like star wars and star trek. Is that allowed?

Man I wish I could get both. I'll need to win 'n competition or something for an Eggsbox. Still, I can't complain about my PS3, especially after I joined PSN+ and started getting free games and stuff.

Personal Preference
Different Strokes for Different folks. I have both also and my Xbox get alot more gaming use than my PS3 which mostly gets used for watching Blu-Rays or steaming media from Love Film or netflix.
Exactly. It all comes down to personal preference. im a PS3 fan through and through and you also get those you prefer PC gaming entirely and not console at all.

+1 :)
well said ScareCrow

I agree with alot thats been said, personal preference to the PS3 controller, but nothing wrong with either, and at the end of the day it all depends really what exclusive titles you prefer and which controller is more comfortable for you. Beyond that everything else will just take a little getting used to ie: PSN/XBL interface.
