AMD launches 5 new Phenom II CPUs

lol, their top of the line new chip comes in at just below my current chip. When are they gonna realize they need 1 FASTER chip, not 20 slower ones for cheap
 
I think these would be good for multitasking, and therefore not for me and my games, i don’t think any game support tri-core
 
While the new Phenoms don't quite match up to Intels Nehalem they are still pretty strong competitors and the fact that they will work on my AM2+ motherboard means less money spent upgrading next time I decide I need a faster CPU.

Yes, but Intel has already started undercutting the prices on their quad core lineup. So pricing competition is fierce. This is why monopolies should never exist :D.
