I think the PC sales are declining because of the world financial crisis as well as a significant decline in the speed at which graphic developments have been made. My several year old gaming PC can still run all of the latest games without a bad framerate. Five or ten years ago this wasn't the case. Once the graphic improvements take-off again - possibly with the next-gen consoles coming out - it should result in better PC sales.
