What's up with MyGaming lately?

Thanks for the feedback everyone. We do pay attention and it's nice to read that some people are happy with what we do :)

Eh, maybe I just have unrealistic (unfair?) expectations of MyGaming then. Didn't really know it was basically just James and Jeremy running the show either. Always got the impression MyGaming had a pretty large staff who contributed regularly.

If that was the impression you got then it bares testament to the excellent job the two of them are doing. Fooled you :)

The community is really cool here. I am almost always online and connected to this site, keeping an eye on what's happening in the community. Reviews and every little piece of news is not something that I come looking for here, I have news aggregating tools that I use for that (I don't think it can be a good thing to get ALL of your news from only one source).

I think the community is a massive driving factor here. People post cool things, let you know about specials, etc. I'd take that over every single review about every single game any day.

You and me both. I was shocked when I realized how small they actually are (staff-wise) in comparison to how big they actually are. Good job, guys.

I don't interact alot in this forums as I only feel the need to in extreme cases :p

My go to sites during the day is mybb and mygaming. I use to browse lazygamer some time ago but it feels too fragmented.

Recently mygaming was added to the blocked list at work so now I'm browsing via my cell which should indicate my dedication:)

Mygaming serves my needs and the forumites are really great in comparison with the general online SA community.

I'm not that interested in reviews as I like to make my own opinions of games (getting married soon so I don't play as much games as I want to these days...just some HON, Diablo and Borderlands with the SO).

Keep up the great work guys:thumbup:

Howzit guys!

Sorry I haven't contributed too much to the discussion at the moment! Just been busy around here - as you now are aware of :) In a good way though!

James and myself do sit every week and discuss what works and what doesn't and do take in to account all your feedback and contributions!

We really want to deliver more of what you want, as opposed to producing stuff that has little to no interest on MyGaming.

I'm fairly sure I may have mentioned this in the past somewhere, but is there any chance of giving user blogs a bit more prominence on the site? I know a couple of the users actually contributed posts and some of them even generated some discussion. If you can figure out some way to encourage people to contribute quality articles (and since you have the activity/achievements sytem live now) it'll basically give you access to loads of user generated content.
