Party time! Excellent!
Well looks like beta is over and Warframe made it's way onto Steam, so I thought I'd make an official thread for this (IMO) quite brilliant little game :)

WARFRAME

It is one of the better free MMO's I've played in quite a while.

I've clocked over 20 hours in this game now and I am liking every minute of it. Arguably the best F2P game iv played. The game is best played with squad mates who know what they are doing. Anyone looking to get into the game invite me and ill give you hand. My name: J4vik

yup! busy getting a squad together for the weekend, but it's mostly new players so most will be rank 0 & rank 1

can setup a Teamspeak channel as well :)
 
We have a bunch of ppl who love it and are level 30 already I think.

But while I think its pretty decent and have loads of potential I can't see myself being lured by hunting for upgrades and items 2 much. If you the kind of player who wants and needs that next upgrade (weapon or cards etc in this case) and need to keep playing that 30 minutes later to get it then you'll love it.

Pretty much all looks the same to me and some nasty bugs preventing me from using my sword properly.

Im happy helping out new players and Teamspeak will be really handy, considering how crappy the in game voice chat is atm.

yeah I didn't even bother trying the ingame voice chat

I've clocked about 7 hours now and just reached Rank 1. leveling takes A LOT of work and time in that game, but the whole weapon/warframe leveling and modding dynamic kinda makes up for it. and the fusion is quite interesting as well

It really does take a long time to to rank up, im roughly 25 hours into the game and im only little over half way to rank 3. One thing you need to take note of with the modding is to make sure you done fuse a stronger mod into a weaker mod of the same type. The fused mod will take on the properties of the weaker mod. This is something they really need to fix. I found this out the hard way and so did a few of my buddies.

haha! yeah I also learned that a bit late by accident :D
 
My clan and I've been playing it since CB and we're also now jamming on Steam/Team Speak. Nice to see everyone else is lovin' it as well. :p
 
I just can't seem to get into this game... and I mean that literally.

I registered an account on Friday and the activation email took forever to reach me. Around midnight I activated, tried to log in, but nothing happens... it was like there was no code behind the "Login" button to perform any action. Tried again Saturday evening, but then got a new error saying that my username or password was invalid. Their site was down as well so I guess that the system assumes that you entered the wrong credentials in the event of an error. Finally Sunday evening, managed to log in, play the tutorial and customise my character a bit, but as soon as I try to connect to a game, it goes through the whole connection process and then at the end, "Failed to connect" error.

Maybe I'll have better luck next weekend.

I had some trouble last night where it dropped me mid game and wouldn't let me in again for a while. but eventually got there

I suspect they're busy with updates/upgrades, hence the logging problem

but keep trying, it's worth it. and we're one player short of a full set at the moment... :D

yes, we're playing Europe West at the moment

there are good days and bad days. most of the time I've played the lag wasn't too crippling. just keep in mind it is still in beta, there are some bugs that still need ironing out, but I still enjoy it a lot

I understand that bugs and lag will happen, but War Inc was unplayable. you maybe got a few lucky shots in. but unplayable in general.

is the game strictly PvP or are there PvE/bots in aswell?

there is no PvP (yet), there has been mention of it later down the line

currently you play in max 4 player co-op instances

Mate: Howdy! Yup ... The fix was rather bizarre.
BlackSwanZA: How did you get in?
Mate: Logged in with Internet Explorer, then logged out.
Mate: Can now log into the game perfectly.
Mate: Chrome/Firefox login doesn't "juice" it.
BlackSwanZA: Wuttafark!?
Mate: Pretty much.... Makes NO sense. Some poor sap posted it on the forum after spending weeks ... sure enough, it worked.

From our side, there's no lag when we play solo or as a clan because the games are being hosted locally, however, a small amount of lag does occur when a game is hosted by Europeans. Additionally, there were one or two instances when members were experiencing disconnects, but AFAIK that issue has been resolved. I agree with MalicE: there are still a few things lacking, however, I'm excited to see what their intentions are content-wise for the future. Bigger PvE instances and more enemy factions would be nice! (❂◡❂)

I only play games on weekends though. (I have a completely different OS instance set up for that and everything)
Will try again this coming weekend with hopefully a bit of better luck.
 
Tried it out last night, not bad. Reminds me of Mass effect 3 co-op, with bigger levels, but less refined with combat. Not sure about the items and the differences between spending real money on items and in-game money on items. Also seems insanely expensive to use real money.
