I don't want to venture into the other thread as I'm only a bit into the game so I don't want to read any spoilers, so please for this thread

NO SPOILERS!

My game suffers from stuttering when looking around with the camera. Do you also have this problem? I have read that it is an issue with Bioshock and the compatibility with NVIDIA cards.

Also, I am really enjoying the game but I must say it does bother me that there are no apparent physics in the game. I was on a beach and walked into a ball and the ball stops me and I can't move. You can't shoot breakable objects eg bottles etc. and while it isn't necessary, it would be nice to add to the immersion of the game.

Now that I think about it.. It really is odd for a AAA game released now a day WITHOUT physics...

Everything just feels very static. Like I'm running around in some sort of model set where everything is glued down.

Yea i've had the same problem every now and then.. seems like it happens mostly when a new level is loaded, etc.

I had the same feeling the other day :wtf:

Bioshock Infinite's stutter has something to do with how the game loads textures. It seems like the game is trying to load too many textures at once and is overwhelming the graphics card - even the higher-end ones with 1.2GB to 2GB of RAM.

You can give your graphics card a little breathing space by increasing the Poolsize it can work with. This requires editing the game's .ini file, so a word of caution: make proper backups before attempting the following step.

- To increase the Poolsize, go to C:\[User Account]\Documents\My Games\Bioshock Infinite\XGame\Config and open the XEngine.ini file in a text editor (preferably Notepad).

- Search for PoolSize and change the value from the default 400 to 640. Save the file.

This fix has had the highest number of success rate among players. However, from personal experience I would say skip this and the next step as it caused my game to glitch out upto an extent that it would fail to load objects, NPCs and vital game moments required to further the story.

fixed the stuttering problem for me and I disabled vsynch as well

I had a few issues while playing. It'd be nice and smooth and then i'd look at a look on the door and the frames would drop drastically. At 1 stage it would lag every time I moved the mouse, quit the game and restarted my pc and it was back to normal. 2GB card fyi.

Other than that, I thought it was pretty decent graphics wise. A lot of scenes where the lightning was just fantastic to look at :) Wasn't too concerned about the physics of it all if I'm honest.
