Would you quit a game for moral reasons?

I tend to buy /play based on researching it before I buy. But if it is offensive, I'll definitely stop. I abandoned Doom after 15 minutes.

I stopped playing Alan Wake because the character you portray was being a dick to his wife. Pass.

I have no issue with game violence of most natures, but any element involving rape or prolonged/unnecessary abuse is not for me.

I really don't have a problem with ANY violence in games.. But abusing someone (especially woman/children/animals) turns me off... I probably won't stop playing it unless it gets WAY to much. Also Rape/sexual themes aren't the way to go in games. Some things just don't belong in games.

No, I would't put a good game down just because it's offensive in some way, yes if it goes way over the top I might not tend to play it, but there doesn't seem to be that many over the top games. I understand if you are very religeous , as with Bioshock: infinite, but other than that there aren't many reasons to stop playing a game, it's just a game afterall...

I conquer, I stopped playing gothic 2 because for some reason they decided hey we are just going to throw out any narrative and have farmers blaspheme.

It annoyed me to no end, I mean why, how the heck did this even make it through a screening process, you have a world where this kind of speech does not exist and everything else is really well done yet hey these non important npc's over here are going to just go moggy with it.

Look at skyrim or dragon age now that's done correctly, with oh gods and by Andraste's ...

Well some things just rub me the wrong way. e.g. Children getting harmed. That is just not acceptable in my eyes - real or not. That plus the fact that I generally don't do horror type stuff keeps most of the bad stuff at bay.

I don't mind playing mixed teams @ UT though etc. Or GTA for that matter.
