Disk imaging software

I see Norton Ghost is being discontinued soon. I'm looking to get disk imaging software, and although Norton Ghost is still an option (I never really use their support anyway), I thought I'd hear from you guys what you're using. Any good alternatives or is Ghost the favourite? I haven't used this in years.

Like its been said, Acronis is a really great product. You can get Workstation and Server licensing as well as virtual licensing per proc.

Let me know what your requirements are and i can supply this, just send me a PM.

With Acronis Universal restore you can restore images onto other hardware as it is hardware independent. Check out there site for more info here.

Thanks for the replies. I'll check these out tomorrow. Basically I'm going to be using it for two things.
Firstly, to create an image of my current SSD and somehow restore it and get it working in a VM. And then secondly, once I've set up my new SSD with a brand new clean installation of Windows and loaded everything perfectly, I'm just going to create an image of that so it can be easily restored rather than doing a clean install next year. It usually takes about a day to set up my primary partition.

Technology is your friend here. Try using VMWare StandAlone Converter to create a VM from your physical machine. And boot from VHD is available from Windows 7 onwards ;-)

Not allowed :(
I get a message saying that "The source computer has GPT disk(s)..... blah blah.... not supported"

I will sometime try and disable / disconnect the hard drive with the GUID partitions as they won't form part of the backup anyway and then see if I can get it to work.

Had to make some bios changes, but finally got it to work and after a mission, I was able to successfully boot the newly converted VM.
Once I've set up my SSD, I'll give that Macrium Reflect a try (free is free :)) and if I'm not happy with that, I'll go with Acronis.

I just realised I misunderstood the thread title :o

Daemon Tools is what I'd recommend.:)

I took Wesley's advice of Macrium Reflect last year, and it worked perfectly for me. I used it to mirror one hard drive onto a bigger one.

I remember I was strongly considering Norton Ghost, but something stopped me from using it. I can't remember what it was, though.
