Tablet PCs are a dying breed: BlackBerry CEO

Yeah, you keep telling yourself that Mr Ceo.

Tell me, have you released a BlackBerry smartphone that isn't totally shit yet?

I think BB lost it when they started to make the phones for the average consumer and stopped using business communication as their primary business model.

Yeah, definitely. Their entire business strategy was built on an unsustainable model. 60 bucks for unlimited data usage per month is utterly ridiculous. BIS has gone down the crapper and I don't think there's a single person in the world who can say they didn't see it coming. My younger brother got himself the new Bold in January and seeing as he was changing contracts he had a week left before they activated his BIS. He got 5mb/s on speedtests in that week. The moment they activated his BIS it was down to 20-30kb/s from the exact same location.

BIS aside, the quality of BB handsets are pathetic. I don't have a single friend with a BB who doesn't complain about experiencing technical issues. My brother went a full three weeks before his handset started giving issues.

I haven't heard of a single BB that didn't have some sort of software of hardware problem after its first few months.

I have never seen the appeal of a tablet. I have my cellphone, and a laptop. What I can't do on a cellphone, the laptop is perfect for. If I got a tablet it would be used as more of a toy than for anything productive.

I feel Tablec PCs are more for gadget lovers, and if you're a business man, it can be used as a method of keeping in touch with your business on-the-go.

I have a tablet which is my phone as well but I am seriously loving it. For what I use it for it is so much better than a normal cellphone.

It`s a mistake, he probably meant to say:

"BB is a dying breed: BlackBerry CEO

Thorsten Heins says that Blackberry has just five years to live." if their lucky :p

Actually I reckon BB is growing very very fast especially since they are now much cheaper than they used to be. Personally I can't stand them and I stand by my theory of BB users being the most anti social people around because of BBM they are definitely eating in to Nokia's market share.

You can't read text books properly on a phone or laptop. I have quite a few kindle text books which I read on my tablet all the time. Also comics. :)

I know this all too well.

Tried reading a Dark Horse Comics title on my Samsung Galaxy Y. Was frustrating as hell. Eventually decided to instead use my PC to read it the next day.

speaking of such things, which program do you use to read comics on your tablet?
I have MAD magazines on my tablet which are cbr format and downloaded an app, ACV, to read them but it hasn't been very successful.

Blackberry just because you released a shitty Tablet doesn't mean the market is dying, it just means nobody wants to buy your shitty tablet.

I use ComicRack best android comic reader by far. It also has a desktop client which you can use to sync comics to your device.
