Xbox one revealed, next-gen console from Microsoft

Interesting wonder what the starting price will be

Probably only get it a way after the release when the prices drop

Man watching the press conference was a waste of time. Almost no games, just yapping on about crap I don't care about or features that will never work on this side of the world.

It really looks like Sony caught them off guard because they had almost nothing to show here that's worth a damn.

Call of duty ghosts looked amazing, its definately an impressive looking engine those guys have built, atleast its not IDtech 4 :p

I think the problem is that if they showed all their games tonight then they wont have any exclusives to show at E3, I think this conference was just to show the gamers that the console is complete (they actually showed a console atleast) and what its capabilities are, i think the real suprises are at e3 both for MS and Sony (im not going to mention nintendo, they appear to be chasing their tail at the moment)

Hey it's COD, they slapping a new coat of paint on it and keeping the gameplay from CoD4. They will sell trillions.

Looking at the pictures again it seems quite bulky for a next gen Xbox shouldnt they get smaller and thinner like everything else in the market?

That's what I'm wondering about.. Big ass-fan != silent, so have they figured out some miracle passive cooling system? Or gotten way down on power use?

Probably will be around 200W and like the PS3 Phat, it'll use a blower fan design. It'll be quiet enough, but definitely not silent.

I also think Sony's design will be very, very similar, perhaps even have the same dimensions, because they need to incorporate the same hardware.

Blue ray is a nice feature.
Lets hope also that Multichoice get with the times and let us use the console's TV features by making services available.

Well both consoles seem to have 8GB.

the also have the exact same cpu's whats worrying is the xbox 1 is running 3 operating systems and thats probably using alot of ram and instant switching also usually require apps to be loaded in memory , all these backgrounds tasks and os layers are probably going to use 1 or 2 cores and close to 2 gigs of ram atleast imo

Doubt Multichoice will ever get with the times

Already have a bluray 3d player so the Xbox one will be a waste

Hopefully it wont be over-the-top noisy and just a purring sound so you can hear the Tv while playing :p

Is'nt the PS4 unified? Not too sure about XBO though.
***edit
Playstaion 4 is a unified 8GB's of GDDR5, I am assuming the XBO (according to sources will have separate 8GB's of RAM?)
